“SWL Season 28: Premier League- Game 2
A long time ago, Snorri and I played a game which we reffer to as "the Vermin Debacle". Featuring Germany, and Vanguard of the Southern Ark, the Debacle was a horror show for Snorri. His team played like muppets, there was a fair bit of death & destruction from us, backed by Nuffle, and it was a one sided contest as a result.
I've played Snorri plenty of times since then, and to be honest, I never really considered that there might come a day where he got his revenge. Today ended up being that unforseen day.
This wasn't like the Debacle, really. The Debacle was just deadly player exercising vicious intent. This was different, calculated, and hit us like a bolt from the blue.
I don't remember minute details, and I'm not watching the replay, but basicaly we kicked, and prepared to anihilate any Elves that came down as recievers, or tag them, and generally do our thing. It had worked since we got back from our "holiday", why wouldn't it work now?
Easy answer - Snorri didn't send recievers down. He just took the opportunity to take good ground centerfield, belt the crap out of the LOS plebs, and got an early numbers advantage, which quickly ballooned out of control.
I didn't see this coming. I didn't think on my feet at all. I got mugged, and I'm still waiting for the pictures of my fish back. This was different to any game we've played.
Don't think that just because you're on The List now Snorri that we aren't friends, we are. It's just that, well, you're on The List. You know how it goes.... I promise it'll be done with dignity, and not in the face - just everywhere else.
First friggin Elf team to make the The List... and of course without DPs..
This was the catalyst for the wheels falling off Season 28

Legend Matt Tinsen spent the whole game sooking up to the nurse in the ko box.
Legend Manfred also spent half the game sooking up to the nurse in the ko box.
And last but not least,
Legend Keiser W. tripped on the last dodge required to get the equaliser try...and went to see the nurse too!
Even their dirty player went off to check her out on the first foul.
