SWL Season XXXI - Premier League XXXI - Round 4

Neither forgiving, nor forgetting, the more experienced players, explained to the newer players that this match would be scored a little differently to other matches. Touchdowns ... not so important. What is important is to repay the blood spilled last time these two teams met. With that in mind, we never really had any intention of bothering to score touchdowns ... not while there were norsemen on the pitch at least. Orc tactics at their best.

Things went to plan in the first half. Although it took some time, we managed to scare the norsemen into thinking that we were planning a touchdown, and then turned around to put the boot in. More importantly, though, we bribed their apothecary, and Spine Thumper put in an excellent hit, killing Demiel Valiminski outright!

Sadly there still far too many norsemen on the pitch, so the girls decided not to score a touchdown.

Half time score: 0-0

The second half also went to plan. The norsemen thought they were in great shape, collection the ball easily, and securing it with a fine cage right from the start. What they didn't know, however is that they were playing it right into our hands - to liven things up, Flesh Burna had placed a couple of her favourite toys inside the ball, knocking down all five players that were standing too close when it went up in flames.

Rather than waste time chasing the norsemen down, Knee Stompa picked up the ball, and invited them to come to us instead. And come they did. Sadly, we did little damage of real interest, and the catchers got it in their heads that they wanted a touchdown. So, in the end, with a foolish passing play, Grab Snatcha sent the ball across to Sneaky Dodga, who made her way into the end zone ...

Final score: 1-0

Twahnlow Votes

3 pt: Oleg Demiev
For scaring the silly catchers into scoring a touchdown. Also, he had the balls to attempt a play that could well have won the game for the stallions... we were a little lucky that it failed. I'd feel better about these votes if Oleg were dead, but it wasn't to be (thanky to the foolish catchers that decided to end the drive early).

2 pts: Saxon Onelski
For getting right in the way, and failing to fall over and die like we wanted him to (Saxon is the one that was right in the way at the end of the first half, and prevented us from taking an early lead). He did manage to get himself caught up in the unexpected fireball, but fled from the pitch before we could properly enact any kind of proper revenge.

1 pt: Demiel Valiminski
For being dead. Just the way he should be (I would have given him all the votes, but I suspect that it might be frowned upon by those uptight "gentlemen" in SWL management).
