#7 the Desperate Gambler – Smashed Knee (NI)
#12 the Heretic – Dead (RIP)
The whole game was extreme dice for and against both teams - hard to say who go the worst, but the score has the Pirates losing - I won't say the Expats "won".

Two sauri KIA first half, first saved by apo. But Pirates lost their key players too - Troll out early - but skulls on Turn 4 (when the Krox knocked himself out) opened the door for some impressive multi-dodges that survived some desperate skink blitzes for a defensive score, Pirates 1-0 Turn 8 and receiving the kick for 2nd half.

Failed GFI's caused a turn over and then a decision at the other end, as the Expats had a guaranteed score for the tie Turn 14 but chose to stall - and almost paid for it as the Pirates not only succeeded in their blitz, but knocked the ball loose, scooped and broke free of the ruck back to midfield. The Expats answered with a dodging Saurus and a no-RR scoop, and then a turn of weak Pirate blocking dice allowed the Turn 16 tie.

Overtime the Expats won the toss, and both teams had most of their teams - the Expats with 10 and down a Blocking Saurus and their MA 12 Skink, the Pirates a full 11 on the field but down their Troll and a Blocking lino. The Expats set up strong left, and the kick landed on the undefended LoS far right. KO Result: RR for Pirates.

Pirates chose to Blitz the Krox on the far side of the field, and the Expats answered with a no-RR Break Tackle to blitz a narrow path on the sideline free. A weak screen left the ballcarrier in scoring range but just vulnerable, and the Block/MB Blitzer... snaked his second GFI. Game over.

The Pirates won every statistic except the final score, and I can't take much credit for that.

The 1st half the lizards got caught near the sideline and fell apart with positioning working against them in a big way.

The 2nd half the pact just, well, fell apart. It was horrific. Unbelievable how victory was literally slapped out of my grasp with backhands to the face from Nuffle. That's dice for you.

I just wish Smeat played more quickly though. 4 minutes every turn.
