“Rotten vegetables were thrown at the players as they exited the field following one of the worst half performances ever to disgrace a Blood Bowl pitch. There were accusations of spiked rum, corruption, and foul play thrown around the stands and dressing room which is typical talk at a Pirates game. On top of that, though, there were rumours that Urdithane was still threatening to walk out on the team and he furthered those suspicions with an inept display.

He opened the game by knocking himself down in a blitz (quad skull). Then he shouted annoyances at Tomas Bot causing the Pirates' ball carrier to stumble (gfi RR success, gfi failed). The Icedragons swarmed and stole the ball, and the only surprise was that Coach Winni ushered in the early touchdown as 3 pact players were knocked out but the Icedragons were at full strength.

Furious fans invaded the pitch, targeting Tomas Bot for his slip, meaning Urdithane had to retreat to the ball on the 2nd attempt at a drive. The Pirates were still in disarray and another player knocked himself down, opening up the offense once more. A giddy Steini raced forward but was a bit too excited, and fell over his own feet (snaked gfi). The drive petered out rather pathetically from there.

After reading the riot act at half time, the Uzukulak Pirates put forward a better effort in the 2nd half and made a fist of it, but just when it looked like the defense was getting somewhere then Steini took control, survived Siemon before killing the marauder (apothecary to the rescue) then ran in unchallenged. Only the ogre merited the crowd's appreciation. The rest were booed into the tunnel.

Good win for the Icedragons. It looks like the Uzkulak Pirates need to regroup.”
