For sure a VERY good match, one of the funiest I have ever played here on FUMBBL. Both coaches could have won, but Zara is a true star :)

I have to salute my opponent, he is an awesome halfling coach and a great opponent. I sure hope we will get a re-match next XFL.

#12 Pipin Piethrower Jr – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
#13 Bob Berserkling Jr – Fractured Arm (MNG)

Proper match report to come later but I'd like to salute the performance and the sportmanship of my opponent.

I spent 100k before the game to induce a chef, fearing my opponent would take a chef and a wizard with his 270k inducements. Unfortunately, I was marking his players when the inducement window popped up. I hit the enter key at the very same time, and as the pop up had grabbed the focus, it made me purchase a card. My opponent offered to cancel the game, but no admin was available. He then proposed not to take a chef for the game as I couldn't hire mine. Amazing fair play during a competition.

As for the game... It was intense. With Zara induced, that was a bad time for my blackle fling to be MNG. I almost fired Mr Punching Ball before the game to give fewer inducements. I didn't. That was a mistake. I didn't expect my opponent to remove one rr to get an extra 60k inducements.

Strongroots blitzed Zara at the very beginning of the game, but didn't see the DT hidden behind a tree on the way (the marking wasn't visible) and felt. That blitz could have changed the game... but it didn't. That was probably the only big mistake of the game, on both sides.

The beginning of the game was typical Sammiches play. Start slow, try to win the block war, and then accelerate. The Mirrors had less fire power, but compensated with great positioning, forcing the Sammiches to suddenly speed it up, leaving their opponents completely out of position after a few rolls. They decided not to take risks and stall untill t16, letting two turns to the Mirrors to equalize before half time... and they did.

The second half time was Zara's, but the Sammiches didn't get affraid and marked her as she was carrying the team's lunch box. But she survived everything, including Strongroots' mark of affection. With the latter having taken root, the game seemed to be over. There was no one left to stop her. No one but courageous flings who forced her into a t16 dodge, that failed.

The Sammiches almost had the game won overtime, but a battle for the possession of the ball started at scoring range for the Sammiches. They did everything they could, but the ball bounced into the crowd, and the fans threw it back to Zara. She scored on the last turn before the coin toss, and the victory went to the better coach.

The Sammiches are no longer undefeated in stunty tournaments. Coach Kam didn't have time to properly train and build his team before the competition, and his coaching skills weren't enough. Lesson learned. They'll be back, and win the next one.

I'll say to Kitchen Mirror what my former opponents told me: win the whole thing. Sorry for dissapointing you guys, but again, the victory went to the better coach.
