“First round of the Road to the NAF Championship, and I get a fellow italian coach.
It has been a strange match, with the ball in elven hands (or, more accurately, not-in-human-hands) for 15 turns straight.
I lost the ball in turn 2 after setting up my own demise by trying to dodge with the ballcarrier after forgetting I had already used a reroll... /facepalm
The elves picked up the pigskin and caged safely. A bad mistake by their treeman allowed me to rip their cage open and get the ball loose again. After that, it was a furious mess of a fight to get it back, but no one prevailed.
The Second Helf started 10 humans vs 9 elves. The pointy eared monkeys took their time, waving left and right trying to find a gap in our defence. When they finally tried to push for the end zone, they made their only - and fatal - mistake, and I got the pow I needed on their ballcarrying wardancer.
A few moments later, my blitzer had the ball and was running for his life towards the woodies' end zone.
The end.
ps: my opponent was good sport, but he really had awful dice in the few key moments of the game. And looking back at how it all started in turn 1, I am pretty sure I didn't deserve this win.
Ah well. Nuffle gives and Nuffle takes. I guess I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
Good luck for your next round Hamlet!”
