#5 Kevin Deadface – Gouged Eye (MNG)
It's goes without saying that the 1-Horns could have easily lost this game with the given dice. I failed to have Gene Upshaw marked as a +AG player the entire game, and combined with the mis-click that forced my Ogre to blitz when I could have stolen the ball.. a draw is a VERY satisfactory result.

Basically, the Pats are going to Pile-On every turn, and due to an absurd amount of +ST players, they will usually get away with it. When the piling-on works well, the Pats win easily. When auto piling-on does not work so well, other teams have a chance at a decent game. Unfortunately for the other coaches in the league, only Nuffle decides if the piling-on will work or not. In this case, praise Nuffle, piling-on failed, and it turned out to be a close game, with good and bad rolls for both teams.

The fact that they took the only SI of the game is an added bonus, and the 1-Horns will gladly take this one point in the opening round of the tournament. We tried hard to do more damage, but couldn't manage more than the (lucky) BH injury results. Blood-lust did not back-fire, but nor did it yield much blood.

Until someone does some REAL damage to that team, I predict the usual pain and suffering for the KFC West Division. Good luck, men.

#15 Brandon Washington – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
It was an interesting match, but also one with lots of miscues. Some examples:
- Unicorns Ogre picking up blitz duty in the 1st half, when it was clearly not his job. (Other player had shot at the ball.)
- Bortles not blitzing late in the 2nd half, when it was clearly his duty, and had a shot at the ball.
- Talbec giving himself to the bloodthirst, but not delivering, hence coach growing grey hair, and Unicorns team position compromised.
- Bortles making a bad decision in the last turn when he thought there is a Diving Tackler next to him. Pass failed.

Overall a less than stellar effort by Patriots. Not playing hard enough, especially in the 1st half. Losing the CAS race 3:1. On the other hand there credit goes to Upshaw, who did all he could to save the day. He had a stunt play for the score from difficult position in the 1st half, and then he was open for the winning score.

3rd game in a row when the team effort was not acceptable, and even though managed to grind a tie, and had a decent shot for the winner. One hopes that fortune reverses soon.

Key stat: Cas conversion 2.4% Patriots, 9.4% Unicorns. The Blitzers have to do a better job than that!
