Once more we faced the Knights from Kemperbad. I think we can consider them one of our main rivals. With this game we moved to a losing record vs them (2-2-3), and last season they broke the leg of Stephen Hill.

Hill was looking for revenge, fouling the downed super star thrower Sonny Jurgensen i turn 4. The result was a stun and Hill sent off the field. Before this happened we faced a perfect defense, but some good blocks opened up the lines and we smashed a number of knights to the ground, but without breaking any armour. This including new recruit Neiron Ball piling on to The Bash. If only this had resulted in something the game might have gone differently! In the final turn of second half it was Bosh who tripped up Washington just as he ran for 1-1.

Our attack in first half broke down around turn 3-4, and we had to try for Christine to run it in, but needed to clear the way. Juqua Parker couldn't deliver, instead getting knocked down himself. In the following turns Vikings had two players surfed and couldn't regain the ball. 0-1 by turn 8.

Knights received for second, and the kick was perfect - far back along the line. This drew the Knights backwards when Vikings surged forward. A failed dodge opened up for a hit on the ball, and there was a great scramble with players doing their best to get at it. Cornelius Washington seemed set to reprise his heroic effort from last season when he won the Knights game for us, as he first took 10 dice without falling, and then smashed the ball loose and caught it on turn 7. The following hits couldn't bring him down. But we still had to clear the side stepping diving tackle - which we did with some great rolls. Just a normal dodge with reroll for 1-1! But as we know, Bosh caught that leg.

Apo saved Eric Reid from death. New blitzer Clayton Geathers was a great addition.

Finalists Greenskins coming up next.

Oh forgot! IK had a great blitz where the ball was knocked loose and he ran hard for the end zone but fell on the last gfi. He stood up and surfed Sonny who had to run and pick it up, sending the ball flying. There really were some intense moments this game!
