“After 2 crushing defeats the Wrestlers came determined to defend hard.
The Orcs received and knocked down Ogres, who took the blows. Both sides held close to the middle. A Dirty orc was sent off after his 2nd foul on Big Daddy. Jim Breaks sneaked round and knocked down a blitzer so he could intimidate the carrier. The Orcs then broke round the other side but the carrier stood next to a snot, Bicep. Big mistake! With two support snots Bicep smashed down the carrier Jurgon! There was then a huge scrum. The ball was knocked nearer the side. We kept trying to cover it. A snot skulled and the S4 blitzer smasher managed to dodge and then pick up in a snot tacklezone. Jim break tackled his way out to get the ball down yet again. The Crushers were running out of time so after cas'ing a snot they went for a short pass..it failed! Just missing the receiver.
A great defence and a lot of credit has to go to the snots for taking hits.
Second half we hoped for a TD of course. But were blitzed! Ankle Biter sidestepped a hit but we were really under pressure after a long kick. Lucan received a handoff. Unfortunately it was also a blizzard and Lucan wanted to get to the ogres. He fell and was stunned! There was another big scrum. Eventually Lucan came out with the ball. But the cover wasn't quite good enough and an Orc dodged and took him down. After more hits, including a Les fail, an Orc Blitzer got away with it. We tried to swarm him with snots, but in the last turn action the snots chased him once more. The blizzard was inconvenient and so we ended up needing to dodge a few through. Bicep fell! Curses, we just needed a couple more in contact. Perhaps just one. As it was there was still two snots left in contact to try sidestepping around the carrier but they were dealt with by the Orcs with a KO and a stun.. It ends 1-0 with their T16 TD.
A brave defensive performance from the side but we just miss out. At least due to some unusual toughness we took no injuries, got a bit of money, and most importantly Little Lord Lucan's MVP due to his efforts means he now has the greatest ever snotling spps total! And most ever Box Ogre team player spps including Ogres.
