A dissapointing end to the season for the Vanguard. With all the hype leading into this game, it was a spectacular non-event for the boys.

First turned we turned it over as we tripped going for an easy dodge. Second turn gave away an easy try by tripping as one of the boys went for it on the try line. Fourth turn we gave away another try with a safe throw that was successfully intercepted. 2-0 down and it was just a matter of simply watching the elves play ping pong with the premiership all but wrapped up already. We fought hard, but kept giving away easy turnovers and only found a reprieve as the boys from the bush copped a blitz or flopped something in late in each half - (turn 8 in each half - unfortunately the ref remembered to blow his whistle both times before we could take advantage of it).

All in all, an up-down season for the Vanguard. Happy to have been competitive again, but teasingly close to another premiership, only to fall short when it mattered. Congratulations on the Premiership Plat.

Twahnlows:

3pts: Steve Konowalchuk II
Won the game for the elves. Intercepted a safe throw on a 7+ and turned it into the second try against the flow without a problem. Then again looked good with a 6+ intercept late in the game, but missed it as the safe throw hurtled pass just out of reach.

2pts: Milan Jedjuk
Perfect game. Despite not having tackle, once again always found his pows against a team full of blodgers and always dodged with elegance.

1pt: Adam Foote
Recovered by the Apothecary after being badly hurt early in the game, managed to hang in there despite repeatedly getting stunned. Integral part of the Avalanche's game.

#5 Ossi Vaananen – Dead (RIP)
I never thought that I will have a chance of winning this game. One of the handicaps helped a lot (eventhough I forgot about the ST4 a few times). Milan was the man of the match. I really wished he would have scored a Cas. That would've equaled him with the best blockers of the SWL. Anyway, it was a good fight with a big upset in the end.

Good luck for season 11 Snorri. My money is on you.

3pts: 10 Antarctic Gale He was the biggest pain in your Team. Great performance of him.

2pts: Glacial Warden Didn't do much. Just three catches and three walks into the endzone. But he made three TD. Therefore 2pts

1pts: #11 Frost Warden For his Cas and being anoying as well. But not as far as Antartic Gale
