Naoya is quick witted, described as being very knowledgeable to the point of being a genius. He is able to predict people's future actions. Generally, he is level headed and rarely loses his cool. He is also very manipulative, claiming to see his allies as pawns. After death he awoke covered in fur next to his former cousin Kazuya and Atsuro (who was also covered in fur) Unknowing of the Kazuya's intentions, he agrees to join the team hoping to let out his frustrations on the pitch.
