"The archer who doesn't aim never fails to hit his mark." -Raspus Dawnstrider, Wood Elf Sage ___________________________________ The royal family of Dunbarton had long held sway in the kingdom of Kirael. Their fortunes were secure and there was little to fear from any of their nearest rivals. Elven mystics stood guard over their sacred personages and the archers lining the castle walls coupled the mystic traditions of the kingdom with an unerring eye for accuracy. The unique talents of these archers did not escape the notice of the king, who was one of the most notorious gamblers of the continent. He saw in their talents the opportunity to expand his holdings and influence. The elite among the elven king's personal guard were selected for training in a sport to which none of them had previously been exposed. The sport, they were told, was called 'Bloodbowl'. The very thought of shedding blood for sport did not appeal to the archers, but they were loyal to their homeland and agreed to learn what was being asked of them. The group proved to be quick studies and in short order they were prepared to enter into the largest tournaments in the realms.
