Timisoara Dragons

On the Eastern fringe of the Empire, an ancient city moulders on the edge of the Sylvannia Borderlands. Timisoara, a city that on one hand brings culture and enlightenment to what would otherwise be wilderness while on the other has insulated itself from the rest of the empire and the world at large. Only trade and communication with outsiders that the rulers of Timisoara consider essential is allowed. These rulers have a terrible (not so) secret. They are vampire lords, whose thirst can only be slaked by human blood. The peasantry seem either oblvious or coldly accepting of this fact when confronted by it. Strangers who question the justice of such a system are often asked in return by an incredulous serf, "Have you known the nobility of your realm to be MORE than blood sucking leeches in their own right?" Those who persist in questioning the justice of the situation in Timisoara tend to disappear in the night. Still, for the populace to accept the herding and culling by their masters, some provision must be made for the thralls of the land. The ruling council thus formed a blood bowl club to represent the city in the OBBA. The city's burghers and the peasants of the surrounding farmland have taken to the violent sport with great zeal and many have signed up. Happily, all those who were not selected for the first squad were retained on a reserves list. A great deal of joy is being spread throughout the populace as there are high hopes for the squad. For their part, the vampiric lords participating with the team are happy enough to do so. After all, a blood bowl pitch is much like a smorgasboard to their eyes. The city's crest is proudly displayed by the team and makes up the basis for it's colors.
