The newly formed expansion franchise from Leicheberg have literally ‘risen’ from the remains of this once Blood Bowl mad township on the edge of the Haunted Hills.

Town Mayor Count Petr von Stolpe was a huge fan of the game and would visit neighbouring cities when famous franchises came to play exhibitions. After the passing of his wife Frieka his desire for a franchise all his own became his all consuming passion.

His wish was granted recently when a mystery benefactor offered ongoing financial support for him to pursue his dream, and even the promise of physical gifts that would allow him to not only coach, but play in the CIBBL. All that was asked for in return, was ownership rights. With nothing much to live for and no fear of the dire consequences Petr literally sold his soul and his descent into undeath began, shortly followed by his town…

Now nothing more than a stopping off point for the armies of the dead Leicheberg is hoping to become a household name on the Blood Bowl map. The regular supply of necromancers, corpses and all manor of denisons of the realm of Shyish make this an ideal recruitment ground for a new franchise planning to develop from within.

The Leicheberg Lycans have been formed and their owner has paid the teams entry into the newly formed CIBBL Haunted Hills Regional Division. If the dead could hope they would be feeling positive about the upcoming season, however blissfully unaware they may be of the team owners true intentions for the team.

The player/coach is beginning to regret his decision to join the league. Although early pitch success has been a long sought-after dream it comes at great cost. The loss of both his Nephew and now wife on the field of play.

After 22 games in charge the Count was removed from his position. A crippling injury ended his playing days and the team owner decided he was no longer needed as coach. A long lonely existence terrorising the townsfolk of Leicheberg is all he has to look forward to now.
