The history of Cowes Bulls can be traced back to a roving Ironclad fleet of Chaos Dwarfs and their Vampiric allies who conquered the Human town of Shamblord, re-named it, and set themselves up as masters - the Dwarfs in the West, the Vampires in the East. However, differences between the Chaos Dwarf and Vampire rulers soon led to the town splitting in two, divided by the river Medina.

Known as West Cowes to start with, the Chaos Dwarfs had industry, trade and technology on their side and set about building up their resources and power, whilst the neighbouring Vampires sat on their collective backsides, horded their wealth into piles instead of investing it in industry, and drank from the natives. This led to West Cowes becoming prominant on the western side of the northern coast (whilst East Cowes lost out to to the Ryde), and in time West Cowes dropped the 'west' from their name to become simply 'Cowes'.

The Chaos Dwarf rulers of Cowes originally founded their own club to compete with a subserviant Human Team known as 'Cowes Sports'. However, as the human team was at that point comprised of emanciated slaves they lost every match, and were subsequently disbanded at the end of a one-sided six-game series, then fed into the furnaces of Hashut. Competitive action for the Bulls did not arrive until two years later, when the Wroxall Wreckers opened up their 'Orc only' league to the rest of the island and the WIBBL was born. This new, inclusive league allowed the Bulls their first ever match against long-term rivals of the East Cowes Elite, as both teams had previously been too proud or too arrogant to play in each other's league.

Cowes Bulls won the first ever game played under the WIBBL banner; a local derby against fellow founding rivals the Elite. They went on to dominate their first season with a perfect run of wins and emerged as Vectis North champions, but suffered their first loss in the first round of the Wight Island KO Cup.

In the second season of WIBBL the Bulls once again repeated their dominance of Vectis North, emerging unbeaten as champions (despite being held to two draws). The Bulls then won the Vectis conference Championship playoffs with victories over the Blackgang Pirates, Brightstone Brewers and Rowridge Rascals, before going on to beat league founders the Wroxall Wreckers at the Wibbl Bowl and emerging as Wight Isle Champions.
