The last stop for elven players down on they're luck.. its either win here, die here, or stock shelves at the elven food store for the rest of your immortal life. After several weeks in the Black box division, management has started a intensive acrobatic training course for all members of the team. Hopefully increasing the shelf life of players. The last few games has seen the team take some incredible beatings in combination with heartbreaking losses. Its only the sadistic nature of management that keeps this team playing. Game 12: The team wins a match against The Spawns of Nurgle, Hassamal a young elf which showed alot of promise and a rugged lineman by the name of Eric, both have badly infected wounds. The team doctors refuse to go near them, and both players are retired.. with their offer to help coach also turned down. Game 13: The team wins against Do Not Bend, a very effective Khemri team, management takes the team for a nice dinner after the only injury was to a freebooter. Game 15: This time the team plays against Beer Box. Luckily zombie linemen showed up to take the LOS beatings, once again leaving the team intact. Team doctors finally advise the coach to retire veteran biltzer Victor. Game 16: Shellshock finds itself matched against a the Black Phantoms, a undead team. Nice play calling by the head coach leads to two blitzs in the first half for the elves. Followed by a scary second half in which they manage to pull out the win with only seven elves left on the field. Fan favorite Joey L also manages to stiff arm a mummy on the last play of the game killing it. Game 17: Shellshock is matched against a dwarf team, never a good sign. The game plays out as expected.. most of the team injured and a few players trying to get to the ball as the dwarves slowly score. Back to the floor, also a sad day as our kicker Mal is killed. Game 18: Matched against another dwarf team, this time the team manages a draw and no serious injuries. A successful game.. even if not much happened. Game 19: Another loss of Shellshock, this time against a necro team. Star Blitzer Marcus is killed (Twice) as well as Jimmy McScrubby. The team is nearing the breaking point and management is seriously considering giving in and putting funds into a orc, dwarf, or undead team. (Welcome to Blackbox.) Game 20: The teams first game under the new rules. Just for a change of pace the team is matched against a DWARF team. Again. Pretty predictable results follow. (This is my 3 match against dwarves in 4 games, please hurry up and make these guys extinct chaos.) Game 21: Shellshock returns to the pitch against some Chaos dwarves, and loses. (4/5 matches against dwarves, I guess it's time to stop taking dodge?) |
