This team was undoubtedly hit by a curse somewhere into the warpstone final. Nobody have really stepped up to fill the gabs left by all the old mega-stars, and the team havent been itself since, time to give it a rest.

After a decent comeback, the Junkies are once again shooting for the stars, and might again be found in tournament qualifiers. Still its too early to say, as many things can go wrong, and the performance of the team apothecary is looking scaringly inconsistent, but with a little luck the Junkies will again rule the fields of fumbbl !

Team is officially cursed. After around 2 years of hopelessness with a few uplifting games, I have to face the fact that this team will never winn anything of importance as they cannot roll at least only moderately bad dice, and is better suited for the style of play they were created for, fun and beating basher teams.

Bad call, after another great rape in the qualifier semis, a totally maimed Deepwood Junkies lost another hilarious major qualifier game. Play and chances enough to winn against the much stronger team, but a series of 3 double 1's at very killer times, and the same consistent inability to roll 2+ handed the game over to the orcs...

This game proved the end of the first generation of the team. I played it a few games after my team had beaten some hard killer teams and was feeling overconfindent, boy oh boy was my woodies in for a surprice. The power of Tentacles, and a chaos coach who actually knew how to play against elves, made this game one of the most memorable and scary defeats in the teams history. Junkies got back at the Evangalists much later, but only when the chaos team had peaked.

A few games later, the woodelves didnt quite feel they learned their lesson conserning killer chaos teams. So, with only 13 players on their roster, they took on the mighty Deathgerbils Revenge. This time lady luck whanted something else than dead elves, and the Junkies ended up allmost clearing the field of chaos players, much helped by their mighty and very fast treeman.

Much later a new ultimate killer team had emerged from the gates of hell, and the Junkies simply had to play them. With the help of starplayer Deeproot Strongbranch we bled and we scored.

A fumbbl smack game vs the everpresent Blood Falcons. Taken into overtime and suffering two blitzes while getting one back, this game could easily have gone the other way. When the final pushback-score attempt to make it 7-7 failed due to bad coaching, its needless to say, the Junkies coach was not happy. This was truely an epic game, and in the end the Junkies simply ran out of players, suffering 10 cas, though without any permanent injuries :)

Warpstone Open Final !! The woodelves lined up with what might have been their best roster ever, against a nearly perfekt and very strong orc team. Very fast, strong and agile catchers, strong developed linemen, good Throwers and Agile Wardancers. Junkies started out as they should, but failed to close the game as the orcs crawled back towards overtime. What can I say, we tried our best and whent down in a blaze.
