WIL Great Albion Regional Division XXVII - 2nd Place (4/2/1)
A solid showing as we advance to the Conferences for next season - that is where the real competition will begin.
WIL Lion Conference XXVIII - 1st Place (5/1/1)
We started off strong but got slaughtered in the final game of the season and that left the door open for other teams to win the division, but they also lost and so we still took the title - but our team damaged on the eve of entering the top division could foreshadow trouble.
WIL Premier Division XXIX - 5th Place (3/3/3)
We started off going 0/1/3 in our first four matches and are now fighting to pull ourselves out of last place and try to avoid being demoted. Three straight wins gives us hope before drawing our last two games to make things interesting - but we avoid being demoted.
WIL Premier Division XXX - 3rd Place (5/1/3)
Started the season with two losses as we were blown out by a combined score of 8-3. A lucky break at the end of the third game allowed us to steal a win and then pounded PeteW's norse to get back to .500 mark. Some bad luck cost us the game against the chaos which officially eliminated us from contention for the premier title - however the team finished strong with 3 straight wins, outscoring our last three opponents 14-4.
WIL Premier Division XXXI - 1st Place (6/0/3)
PeteW crushes us to open the season - unable to break the norse armor - he clears the pitch and then dances on our graves. PurpleChest smokes us in the second game and very quickly we are again in a deep hole. However, after a team meeting where we decided to just focus on our strengths - the team turned it around with 6 straight wins sealing the division victory with a week left in the season!
WIL Premier Division XXXII - 3rd Place (4/3/2)
First game was exceeding close, but we pull off the win. Second game was even closer - could have gone either way but a stripball blitz, pickup + handoff without RR for the win on final turn pushes our record to 2-0. After a third win, our season fell apart. The final six games yielded only 1 win as we were an embarrassment to the fans and supporters. We can only hope that we can turn things around for next season.
WIL Premier Division XXXIII - 3rd Place (5/1/1) + 2 forfeit losses
An excellent season in which we were 5/1/0 in our first six games before coach was hospitalized (most likely due to poison from a rival team) - the result was two game forfeited and with that our chance at winning the division. Have to regroup for next season.
WIL Premier Division XXXIV - 6th Place (3/3/3)
A tough season that saw almost our entire team killed off or forced into retirement. Only Zeal remains - but the team dropped below 1000 TV by the end of the season and treasury is depleted as well. Narrowly avoided demotion due to tiebreakers.
URN II - Excluded due to claims our team was too weak.
WIL Premier Division XXXV - 3rd Place (5/1/3)
Team was excluded from URN due to being "too weak." Thanks to Prez for the bulletin board material...time to prove the doubters wrong! We were leading in the final game of the season with the trophy on the line, but gave up the late TD for the draw that denied us the championship!
WIL Premier Division XXXVI - 4th Place (5/0/4)
Started off with 2 wins and 2 losses - blitzers building up in the early rounds, but gutter runners still uninspiring. An early 3rd loss eliminated us from title contention, but we continued to grind out a few wins and set ourselves up as a potential spoiler at season's end. Alas, we lose our final game and get to watch Ulrik celebrate the championship!
WIL Premier Division XXXVII - 4th Place (3/4/2)
Started off with a hard fought draw before we got revenge on Ulrik and his lizards. Third game was a disappointment against orcs to put us with a middling record a third of the way through the season. Season continued to be up and down all season and we finished in the middle of the pack. The end of the season saw Zeal fall to a devious foul...so all of the old guard are gone now. Time for new stars to step up!
WIL Premier Division XXXVIII - 2nd Place (6/1/2)
We played well, but outplayed by some Dark Elves and High Elves and that was enough. We had a chance at the title, but the Dark Elves ran the table the last few games and denied us the chance to catch up. Our doctor failed several times during the season and the perm. injuries are adding up on our team now. Some good players may have to retire after the season.
URN III - Victory
Helped WIL clean sweep SWL with a crushing 3-0 victory over some CDs.
WIL Premier Division XXXIX - 3rd Place (4/2/3)
First three games were terrible, failing left and right we were left in last place with 0/1/2 record staring at inevitable demotion. The future seemed bleak, but our team got on tack winning three of the next four games to get back to the middle of the pack. The last two games end with a draw and a narrow last second win which is enough to keep us fighting for another season. Team has the pieces to make a run and a deep bench. Have to try to put it all together next season.
WIL Premier Division XXXX - 5th Place (4/2/2) + 1 forfeit loss
Season started poorly. Then the season turned when coach was on vacation visiting his elderly father for a week - and BAM game was forfeited. Well...all the teams after that felt the anger as the team went on a tear killing players left and right for the rest of the season. The end of the season was 3/1/0 record and killed 9 players - including two superstar elves, an AG 5 dwarf and then killing three humans in the final game. After the forfeit, the team is playing with a chip on their shoulders - training up more dirty players...they are eager for a new season!
WIL Premier Division XLI - 1st Place (7/2/0)
Our 13th season in premier started off poorly as our AG 6 gutter runner was surfed to death and our MA 10 runner was crippled. However, we won that first game and continued to pound out the victories - losing players along the way as normal. The season turned as we managed to score 2 TDs in the final 2 turns against Harsh North to secure the draw late in the season. Avoiding that loss - we won the next game to secure the title!
WIL Premier Division XLII - 3rd Place (4/3/2)
A tough first game saw a few breaks not go our way and the result was a draw - although we did kill the legend Sauras that had haunted many teams. The next three games yielded two wins and a loss, but also saw us lose 8 players with weak winnings. From 16 down to 8 players and no treasury puts the season in doubt. We had a shot at the title, but snakes cost us 2 games late in the season. We fail to defend our title, but remain in premier for another season.
URN IV - Draw
Multiple bad bounces did us in as we could not come away with the win...however, the rest of the team stood strong and WIL dominates again!
WIL Premier Division XLIII - 4th Place (4/1/3)
Starting off the season still recovering from last season's high death toll put us in a tough position to begin with and we had our ups and downs and ended up in the middle of the pack again.
WIL Premier Division XLIV - 2nd Place (5/2/2)
A season marred by some forfeits, but we could not come close to the High Elves whom dominated this season...although injures should drag them down.
WIL Premier Division XLV - 3rd Place (5/3/1)
We had a chance to win the division, but a draw and loss in our last two games doomed us to 3rd place yet again. Our team is in its usual beat-up state - but we continue to punish teams when we can and sneak out enough victories to challenge for the crown.
WIL Premier Division XLVI - 1st Place (7/1/1)
A close race with the newcomer vampires for most of the season, but some good luck on the injury front and we were able to showcase the versatility of the skaven in taking the title with a week to spare! After many seasons of being crushed with injuries, the team is rounding into shape at the highest TV ever. Will this signal good times or bad to come?
URN V - Victory
Against a stat-freak filled elf team - everything went wrong at the start - and the elves were up 4 players with the ball...but they misjudged our speed and we stole the ball to prevent the score. Second half with the game tied, we bashed and fouled and fouled some more. The elves were nearly cleared off the pitch as we walked in for the 1-0 win.
