Team History
Scattered across the windswept hills of the Deserted Isles, the weathered effigies of gods from times long past stand and gaze over the empty plains below. The mighty Buzzy Bee, whose great yellow wings blot out the sun. The twin brother-gods Lemon & Paeroa. Chilly Bin, who brings the frosts in winter. The terrible and vigilant four-faced man, Mister Square.

Among some of the feral Elf tribes who call the Deserted Isles home, it was common to take the name of a god before going to war, so that the divine ones might watch over the warrior and shield them from harm. Now both war and the ancient gods of Kiwiana have fallen out of favour, and Blood Bowl has risen to fill the void - but some Elves keep to the old ways.

Though their gods clearly offer them no protection on Nuffle's sacred pitch, the Cavaliers still adopt the names of their pantheon before they sail to the Southern Wastes to seek glory on the astrogranite.

#3 Buzzy Bee Founding squad member, top scorer, SWL All Star. No Cavaliers player has yet surpassed Buzzy Bee's achievements. Tragically forced into retirement after a serious neck injury suffered in the first game of Season LX, Buzzy now acts as specialist catching coach for the squad.

Number 8 Wire The first Cavalier to be killed in the line of duty. He died as he lived; undistinguished in any way.

Hokey Pokey The second of the Cavaliers to depart to the great bench in the sky. Like his predecessor, Hokey Pokey never did anything of note. He might be missed, if anyone could remember what he looked like.

Jandal Originally a Journeyman brought into the fold after catching the eye of the commentators and being awarded MVP, Jandal holds the dubious distinction of being the first skilled Cavaliers player to pass away.

Pineapple Lumps The first true star of the Cavaliers, Pineapple Lumps died in ignominious fashion. Sprinting a square too far during their win over the Athel Loren Lovers, he tripped over his own bootlaces, slammed face-first into the astrogranite, and died. The team doctors did their best to save Pineapple, but were unable to revive him.

Swandri Another utterly nondescript lineman, mown down in only his second game.

Tip-Top The second player to bear his name, Tip-Top lasted long enough to twice be awarded MVP, but otherwise achieved little of note. His loss was felt slightly more keenly than the usual line-fodder, as he had managed to gain a doubles skill.

Waikato Draught Waikato lasted four games with the side, and seemed like he might make it through the season in the #4 jersey. Sadly, both his career and his life were cut short by Easy Mode Maniacs in the Cavaliers' final game of their first season.

Jandals Jandals seemed set to defy the curse of the #4 jersey, with an already dazzling record after only 3 games, but was killed in the Cavaliers Season LX match against Shades of Svartalfheim. His death serves as a valuable lesson that even a 1-dice blitz on the last turn can be deadly.
