Nobody remembers what the town used to be named, but when Nurgle's Rot took hold of the once small, coastal town, it became known in the surrounding lands as Plaguesberg. While many feared the town would attempt to spread it's pestilance to surrounding lands, instead, they invited their neighbors to join in the fun! After all, plague or not, nobody can resist a game of Blood Bowl.

Calling themselves the Plaguesberg Penguins, the home team of Plaguesberg takes on all challengers, and is the only part (well them and the various attendents, staffers, and other official positions) of the populace to venture outside of their hometown. It's said that they draw far more fans to their away team matches than home matches, as even the most diehard fan of theirs fears the Rot that has taken hold in their hometown!
