CHAMPIONS of Secret League Rookie Rumble no. 1!

It was long thought that Mos Eisley was a one-sport town, and that the local fondness for podracing would inevitably overshadow any attempt to start a football team in the bustling port city. Two factors changed that: first, increased demand for parts in the wake of the war between the Empire and the Rebels caused a steep decline in podracing's popularity. At the same time, Jabba the Hutt started a barnstorming team in the deserts outside the city, attracting a loyal cult following. This could not stand. Mos Eisley would not be upstaged by a desert-dwelling Hutt criminal. It was time to unleash the Banthas.

The new team was founded by Wuher, a prominent local citizen and the proprietor of the Chalmun Cantina. They had a rough go finding an audience at first, but three factors increased the team's visibility. The locals quickly realized that Blood Bowl offered as much carnage and chaos as podracing once did. Ever the canny businessman, Wuher increased the spectacle by instructing his players to bend the rules for maximum violence. Last, and most important for the success of Blood Bowl in Mos Eisley, people realized that you could gamble on it.
