They come at night.

At first they only heard rumours.
Rumours and broken pieces of stories about young men missing in the night whispered in hushed voices by the campfire. Too easily disregarded as wive's tales and children's imagination. As time went by, and more young men disappeared, the rumours grew stronger and more plentiful. The sources became more and more reliable. Until the day finally came upon them when the stories could no longer be recognized as mere rumours.

Even though they were afraid to say it out loud, the people of Norsca realized the rumours to be true. The Sons had indeed returned to Norsca, enslaving young men, and forcing them to play for them as they did a long time ago.
The Sons are destined to reclaim their great grandfather's lost title.

The proud people of Norsca wept.

The Bjørnson family was run out of Norsca several generations ago, and most people thought the bloodline to be extinct.
However The seventh son of Chieftain Thor Bjørnson, Aegir, had survived the ordeal. And his family had grown, generation by generation.
The Bjørnson family had carried on their great grandfather's legacy by enslaving young men, and by means of torture and magic persuaded them to play for them.

The slaves were all given the Bjørnson name and forced to abandon any and all ties to their bloodline.Their only hope of being set free was to suffer
a glorious death on the pitch, and thus returning to their original families in the afterlife.
The slaves were widely known for their exaggerated brutality and complete disregard for the rules of Blood Bowl.

The Bjørnson family are referred to as "The Sons."
