[L] Necromantic Horror
| Tired of continued dominance in the Far Albion Cup, this bunch of plucky Jordi's set out from ol Blighty to find fame and fortune in the oldworld. Landing on the green shores of Brettonia, they set of in search of some frogs to dazzle with their ball control and heading abilities. After hooking up with a certain shady "manager" in a pub they stumbled across the boys where looking forward to their first game on the continent. Imagine their joy trotting on to the pitch and seeing a motley collection of ogres! "Right lads" said their effervescent Captain Samuel Vimes, "We're gonna run circles around these silly sods, we'll play a 4-2-4, just keep pumping it long up to me an Angua, We'll set up some lovely crosses up for Vetinari and Ridcully to head in, then it's off to the nearest pub to celebrate the victory!" After that things went wrong Horribly wrong No one exactly knows the events of that day, although many a stunned punter could have sworn amongst the screams of the die-ing they could hear calls of "Hand Ball" and "Dangerous Tackle" and the occasional "Mummy!" Only Vimes and Angua left the pitch that day with their lives, but alas the misfortune did not end there..... for the hapless duo where set upon by a werewolf irritated at fouling gobbos whilst stumbling through a darkened alley...... there they lay bleeding until....... full moon. With the power of the wolfen cursing through their veins, they prowled the streets until they happened upon a drunk and dishevelled necromancer, whom they where about to dismember when Angua did espy upon his person a pendant bearing the emblem of Nuffle. "Who is this nuffle you venerate so, worthless human, speak now before i tire of playing with you" And so Newgristle United was reborn. Unfortunately misfortune has followed them from life into undeath and after a brilliant display in their first game the squad happened upon a drunken team of bloodthirsty Dwarves, who proceeded to send Vimes, Angua and Carrot back to their rightful graves. The necromancer who had been "persuaded" to raise the team would have buggered off at this very moment but alas the poor soul found detritus had decided to go to pieces in the only exit from the stadium locker rooms. And so they wander the fields of the old world, hoping one day to encounter the team of ogres who brought about their untimely demise, dreaming only of vengeance, and maybe a good pint of warm lager.
