Help, I can launch FBB but it freezes as soon as the drive starts and on every player action.

Issue: This is likely caused because the FFB-Applet is unable to execute a sound command. The reason could be an incorrectly configured or damaged soundcard or any of a number of issues with the speakers.

Solution:

1st Alternative: Open the menu in the FFB-client as soon as it starts. Click on User Settings > Sound > Sound Off. That should fix the issue for the time being. If it doesn't, then you know this isn't your problem.

2nd Alternative: Make sure to use updated sound/multimedia drivers.

3rd Alternative: Fix any sound related issues your computer might have.

4th Alternative: Get new hardware.
