The #1 MetaGroup on Fumbbl is getting ready to kick off yet another great season!

Season XVIII: Begins at 12:01 am BBtime September 7th, 2008 and ends promptly at Midnight BBtime October 31st, 2008!

Last season saw over 90 teams participant with the league's newer scoring format that rewards playing competitive matchups. And from now on, each season runs a bit shorter - just under 2 months with shorter breaks in between - allowing for a full six-pack of seasons every calendar year! Are your elves up to the challange?

A call to artists!

Our resident artist seems to have retired or taken and extended break from Fumbbl. I don't want to hack up his previous work without his permission, so I'm looking for some original stuff.

The league will need 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place images of some variety. Along with something for each of the 5 categories. Also, I'd like a "cycle" image that teams can display in their bio - perhaps based off or a combination of the 5 category awards.

A generic format would be best. Something I can just photoshop the text of the current season over.

Post your ideas in this thread and we'll choose something that grabs our fancy!

Yes. That's because browsers are slowly moving at least somewhat toward what the standard should be. "alt" = alternative text (if graphic doesn't load), "title" = mouseover. Sadly there's still browsers who'll do the one, but not the other, and the other way round. Easiest solution for now is to include both.

Oh, and yes the < /> isn't necessary for most browsers - but leaving it out is bad code and can cause problems in some browsers.

E.L.F. Season XVIII Snapshot Standings.

Recruitment is still open to all teams for one more week.

37 active teams in the 1st week of play in Season XVIII.

Popes of Mope, Pro Elves, jump into 1st place in the first week with 132 points. Close behind in 2nd place are E.nigmatic L.ove F.anatics, Wood Elves, scoring 125 points. 3rd place goes to another Wood Elf team, For the Grace of Wood D.M.U, putting up 60 points.

Soul Calibur Hyper Turbo lead the way for the High Elves with 58 points in 4th place. The Dark Elves are lead by Beamer Themes scoring 51 points in 6th place in the overall standings. The highest scoring League team is Peledor Steelers, Wood Elves, putting up 29 points in 20th place. No active Faction or Unranked teams in Week #1.

Hawkheim Harlequins, Pro Elves, leap past their brethren Popes of Mope and into 1st place in the second week with 166 points and a 19-point advantage. Justicia takes over 3rd place for the High Elves with 129 points.

E.nigmatic L.ove F.anatics remain the highest scoring Wood Elves in 4th place overall with 125 points. One spot back is the Dark Elf leader, Bouffons Assassins, with 103 points. Peledor Steelers, Wood Elves, are the best of the League teams in 18th place with 48 points. No active Faction or Unranked teams again in Week #2.
