Well FUMBBL fans the grand spectacle of the FUMBBL Cup is getting set to kick off on Wed. so get your teams applied and ready to rumble. DO not miss out on this years FC.
For this years tourney Iam going to pull out the stops on the prediction thread. Here is the grand plan.
Predictions
We will have the usual predictions from myself and other handicappers checking in on the matches and giving you their expert picks.
Due to the large volume of matches in the first three rounds I would ask all of you to throw a prediction or two out there. Myself and the other regular predictors can not possibly cover every single game. So if you see a match you like, throw out a pick for all of us to consume.
Altdorf Book and Casino
This year the Altforf Book and Casino on every thursday will announce their picks for every single match of the current round. These will be quick fire picks that just pick the winner, no fluff. How good are the handicappers at the casino?
Match reports/ glorious upsets / notable kill shots
I know one thing the specs like in the prediction thread is updates on notable deaths and those titanic upsets. So please jump in and post some match reports, insights on a glorious match from the coaches. Fluff it up and let the fans know what is happening on the grid iron.
The team to beat
Ok this will be a group participation game for us to play.
1)You pick two teams as your team to beat, who you think will win the FUMBBL Cup.
2)I will keep track of the teams that have been nominated as the team to beat, also noting how many votes they have.
3)As teams are eliminated you are allowed to re nominate a replacement team if one of your picks was knocked out.
4)The winner will be the coach who nominated a team the earliest, based on round of tournament picked and went on to win the dang thing. There could be multiple winners.
5)I will not be "policing" this thing so closely to determine if you picked more than two teams. So gentlemans honor rules are in place for this.
6)You cannot pick your own team, that is just bad form.
7)After each round the teams that have picked in the previous round will be locked. No coach may nominate a team that has allready been nominated in a previous round by another Coach(s).
8)It is possible that if your picks are most unwise you can and will be eliminated from the game in the later rounds.

This years FC is going to be a lot of fun. So join in the discussion on the prediction thread and throw out your picks, fluff, smack talk and rants against NUFFLE when you get diced out of the tourney. (no one loses because the other guy just beat you, right?)

Ok, if I understood this right, I just have to nominate two teams I'll beat and be first to do so...
Easy: Since my dwarves can't beat much, I say they'll beat Shraaaag's goblins - and cursed_one's elfballing khemri, since they really have to meet this time! Aegil wants more bones for his collection!

Nope...let me clarify...you are picking two teams that you believe are the team(s) to beat in the FUMBBL Cup.
You are predicting the team that you believe will win the tournament. Thus the title of the "team to beat" in the FC.
Obviously as we get closer to the round of 16 many teams will fall off the list and a consensus will form on the "real" team to beat in the tournament will come into more focus. |

I think it means you should nominate two teams that you do not think will be beaten, not two that you will beat during the tournament.
That being said, I've yet to make up my mind... |

Oh, ok... so I got this totally wrong. 
Sadly, I still don't get it, I think. Or do I?
If I want to win this, I "just" have to nominate the FC winner as one of the two teams right away. If I do so, it doesn't even matter if my second team gets beaten in the first round. Right? |

Yes, you have two chances. Plus if one of them gets knocked out first round you can choose another team. |
