Should the Monsters get one single POMBer?
Sure, any elf team would get one killer if they rolled the necessary doubles!

Sure, it's a start. Leave fluff aside and get at least three more of them and and the Monsters are good to go!

No, it doesn't go with the teams' fluff. Keep it straight!

Mighty Blow alone is already unthinkable on that team!

Milford was not the first one to pick up the Agility Monsters' possible need for a "killer"/POMBer among their ranks. Rumors say head coach Rabe himself is considering it. It has been said he thinks about hiring a retired but healthy veteran from a more conventional dwarf team or go recruiting from BB7s.

Now we wonder: Is that a good idea and if so, would such a player with the will to kill for the Monsters be out there somewhere?

What do you think?

Ofcourse!
Your fluff is soooo worthy to finally join the semi-dark-side (like me).

Every team needs something to get players off the pitch, fluff or no fluff.

Would be funny if you got a plomber runner Surprised

But anyway plomp combines well with jump up so you can still keep a little fluff Smile

The first time I read this, I thought you said plumber runner, making me think you were talking about Mario. Laughing

It's a no for me. When you choose to go for a sub-optimal build for reasons of theme I believe you should stick to it.

To be fair, if the player rolled doubles, then It would be ok to take MB or PO, just like any other agility team.

Don't spoil your theme for the sake of a few easier games. It's better to win with class and flair than abusing a "bug".

I agree with Igvy - but instead of 'wasting' a double roll on MB/PO, make it so that a dwarf can only choose MB/PO if they already have a doubles skill.

So if you have a dwarf with dodge, he can take MB or PO on his next normal; if you have a dwarf with sidestep/jump up, he could take both MB and PO on his next few singles rolls.

That way, you still restrict how many MB/PO's you get, and if you get a dwarf with a particular personality, you aren't required to give him MB/PO - but it also gives you a set of guidelines for when you can take MB/PO without giving up your theme.
