Gotta throw a quick plug in here somewhere for ryanfitz's design of the NBFL League Page. I've been sworn (and threatened) to not mess with the actual coding, though... Pretty damn sweet and easily updated to show who's leading the divisions during the regular season.

To be honest is started with some easy BBCode for a PRO elf team. Just a simple team logo, some phrases of backround and few tables e.g. Hall of Fame/Remarkable Games/etcpp. Somehow i thought "Damn, how good I am!".

Than i saw the CFFL page. Completly stunning. Somewhere was a part of the code and a really good explenation of the "Float" commands (i think it was posted by KAM). And I strated to code and to design bottons and other things. The result was this

Fluff Based League TEAM
CODE

WhatBall, Shraag, Kam and Woodstock. You gaved me real content for weeks, Thanks!

Well one of the tricks used was this. You combine simply some pictures and reuse them. like this ...

PIC 1 --> Image PIC 2 --> Image PIC 3 --> Image PIC 4 --> Image

Now your are able to combine PIC1 in PIC3 like this

or

PIC3+PIC2+PIC1 --> ImageImageImage or PIC1+PIC4+PIC3 -->ImageImageImage

For the "button" you need to toggle.... Got it?

Still a work in progress, but the new Khemri Premier League page is up:

Vault Tec Squad: actual bio, bbcode

Howdy sir. When creating the KPL page I was getting some 1 pixel gaps similar to the Vault Tec page. Upon closer investigation, I realized it was the TOGGLE function, as it has the "empty" text between open and close statements.

[toggle=etc...][/toggle]

That nothingness between the code is considered a character by the browser and that forces the extra pixel space down due to the imaginary font height. I fixed this by wrapping my Toggles with:

size=1]TOGGLE[/size

(not sure why the bbcode wrappers are not working here, sorry about the way that looks.)

Your page has a LOT of Toggles, so I tried (in my notes) wrapping all of the code with a size=1 and it worked. Check it out. You may find some small font issues in your page, you would just need to wrap those with size=x to fix them.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. I think it adds a lot to the fluff.

Just an update.

I looked into this more and Christer did too (more Wink). He discovered it is an issue with line height. The best way to fix it is using lh=0 in your floatconatiners with toggles in them.

That should fix it for all browsers, not just some.

Thanks for the work here. I'll fix this for a few of my pages when I'm back from holidaying.

It is indeed. I've always done mine with blocks set to the exact size of the image, but that is always pain. This way will make it much simpler. Very Happy

Not a "wonder", but I'm quite proud of my latest team bio for the Caragio Fighting Clams (or Il Caragio Zibatti Clama as they're known locally).
