A question for those with bigger knowledge than me...

how can you "enforce" a deadline in a league you run? When a game isn't played, I can find the option to forfeit the game for one of the players, but I can't just "cancel" or "close" the game/round and make the players move on to the next one.

are there options for this?

You can do a forfeit, then manually adjust the scores, so it doesn't affect the standings.

Using the 'Forfeit' button is also your cancel button in a manner of speaking.

By forfeiting the game it then pushes those two teams onto the next round, or if in KO tourney, the team forfeiting doesn't reach next round.

Like previously mentioned, in a league you can then manually adjust scores, to suit the non forfeiting team

Hope that helps

If I remember rightly, that won't work for the last game in a league, because once you forfeit it, you can't adjust the scores. But you can adjust the scores, then forfeit.

Thanks a lot guys! I'll have to find how to adjust the scores as well, but that won't be too difficult I presume.

In a similar matter; when I adjust the score after a forfeit, then there will be a score (0-0 draw f.e.) and thus points earned. Is there an option to make them both "lose" or "forfeit", so that neither of them gains points in the league table?

There are no options at all. You just forfeit the game. How you adjust the scores is up to you entirely though, you can subtract 1000 points from each of them if you want to.

There is an option to set points in case of forfeit but it doesn't work.

To change the scores there is an "edit scores" button at the bottom of the tournament page. You can only update one tournament at the time, in case you have more than one running.
