an we do something to make them look like either a football sticker book (pic above info) or American trading cards (a front with pic and a back with info) as some kind of template thing, as I think it would look cool.

I really like this idea.
I'd be up for helping with this if you want/need the help. I could probably knock together book and sticker/card templates fairly easily. |

I got a bit bored, so started working on a trading card template. I've done the front for it, but need to work out what info people would want on the back so I can leave spaces for it.
I've also mocked up what the front could look like once you start adding in details. As for coding together something to do it automatically for you, that's well beyond my skill level

I would like the basic stats:
Name
Race
Age
Height
Weight
then stuff like
Blood bowl debut
Notable Achievements
All of this info would be fact so no scripting needed.
Could you do a more realistic trading card look with the background rather than the parchment effect? Otherwise superb job |

Those mockups look great already Akarenton.
Definitely like how 90s the card almic posted looks. Maybe making it look faded and adding a bit more color would work. Might make it look like an old baseball card.

All depends on the fluff you are going for really.
I like the old 90's cards because I grew up with them and remember trying to get them signed as a kid.
But I can see why a parchment look would suit the old world feel of bloodbowl.
In reality the yearbook page is just straight ports of the player info into a single page and I think if they were going to change they would have to look something like the images balle2k has posted for in game functionality.
Maybe having the in game info on the front page and player stats and a short free form blurb on the back.
If they went completely away from being user friendly for referencing in game then we could have a bit of fun. |
