This thread is here to summarize the changes that came with the BB2016 and DZ Season 1 release. I don't quite trust myself to catch everything on my own, so I am going to rely on your help on this.

The way this will work is that I will keep this first post updated with a list of changes split into the type of change. Please post the changes you have identified in this thread and I will verify and incorporate them into the summary. Please add references to page numbers in the rule book, Death Zone S1 or Errata PDFs on bloodbowl.com. Note that the "My Dugout" app rules have different page numbers; I will include the page numbers for the printed books here. If you lack access to those, someone can probably help looking up the relevant page numbers.

Skill Changes
Piling On - Effectively removed from official rules. Is mentioned as an option to commissioners who want it, with some changes (requires TRR to use). (DZS1, p29)
Timmm-ber! - New skill. Assists for standing low-MA players up (DZS1, p37)
Weeping Dagger - New skill. 50% chance to turn badly hurt injuries to MNG. (DZS1, p37)

Other Changes
Wizard inducement has been removed. (DZS1, p23+28)
Argue the Call is back. D6 roll, 1=coach sent off (-1 brilliant coaching modifier), 6=player sent to reserves. Still generates a turnover. (DZS1, p38 and FAQ)
MVP changes. Coach picks 3 players and rolls a D3 for the MVP award. Process for concessions are not clear. Does the winner get to choose a new set of three for the second MVP? Also requires a head coach miniature to apply. (DZS1, p21+24)
Spiralling Expenses - Effectively removed. (DZS1, p29)
Expensive Mistakes replaces Spiralling Expenses. (DZS1, p25)
Special Play Cards system redesigned, with new cards. Note that there is a special web pre-order card in circulation as well. (DZS1, p23 and card deck in the box.)
Inducements system redesigned. Adding gold to petty cash does not change TV. (DZS1, p23)
League system with seasons (DZS1, mainly p18+19+26+27)
Star Players have been revised. (Card deck + DZS1, p47)
Bloodweiser Babes inducement renamed to Bloodweiser Kegs (DZS1, p23)

Elven Unions are introduced on page 10 of DZ1.

Seems that we can't induce mercenaries or star players during Play-Offs.

Timm-ber is I think a Fling tree skill and woodie trees are not affected. (Errata)

FWIW - I attended the presentation the specialist team put together on Sunday.

From that we learnt officially that more star players (both CRP ones and new ones) will be coming in each of the supplements. Next one due in 2017 Q2 where we can expect stars not currently supported to be returned to the game and then gradually more as time goes on.

The guys were specific in that they want to add to the game, not detract - so anything you use that's not been covered yet (in fact, even things that are, but you don't like) are fair game in your version of the game.

However not all the stars will be released in the new version - and Slann don't seem very likely at all (due to slann being something else for GW now). Wizards will make an appearance at some point.

So all leagues will need to decide how they adapt to this release schedule and how much of the missing CRP (essentially only wizards and 47 stars) and slann they keep in the game.

As a NAF official, we are in conversation, but it's pretty clear to me that we will have to make some rules decisions now in divergence from GW as slann & the missing 47 will need/want to be allowed in NAF events.

From the Snow Pitch board, optional alternate weather table for winter play / northern climate teams. Usual 2d6 Roll.

No page numbers as it's a one page document, but I beleive the official supplement name is Blood on the Snow.

2 - Howling winds +1 to all pass rolls. Each player rolls D6. Losing player has wind blowing twords them. Whenever ball scatters for kick off or inaccurate pass use throw in template in that direction twice. Then scatter as normal.

3 - Freezing +1 to armor rolls for all Knocked Downs.

4-10 -Brisk Same effect as Nice Weather from the original weather table.

11 - Heavy Snow -1 ST to all Blitzes for duration of Action

12 - Blizard Same as default weather table.

that isn't a rule change. That FAQ entry is exactly like the CRP/LRB6 FAQ

This is probably obvious but the messy Expensive Mistakes Table can be simplified. Here is what I whittled it down to for our local TT league's record sheets:

If Treasury is 100,000gp or greater you must roll for Expensive Mistakes. Roll d6, apply Modifier based on current Treasury, then check the Table. Round losses up to nearest 10,000gp.

Sounds like a very useful couple of players to induce. Especially for non stunties. Any team too! But absurdly cheap?? 210 for both. Normally stars are much more than the equivalent TV than if you skilled them yourself. This is closer to old 3rd edition prices when Morg was 190.
I suppose as it is in White Dwarf it can be regarded as very optional.

Also no loner, likely a mistake.
The Ogre alone should be 210.
