RSU Demands Answers
On the back of a record-breaking season in which he threw 11 completions for a head-spinning 72 yards, Dietrich "The Guru" Gruubenheim has some been left off the Collegiate All-Stars team. Whilst some have mentioned that he doesn't yet have a title to his name, analysts noted that his completion rate would rocket if only his receivers were able to take uncontested catches. Rumblings in the system point to yet another clear example of bias in favour of rival Griffins.

TITANTIC RESULT FOR TITUS
Reikland State Official
Reikland State University would like to extend their congratulations to Titus Denano in being named to the All-Stars in his sophomore year.
When asked for comment the Coach Semitence responded;
"It's been a tough season, however through adversity we find strength in ourselves and those around us. Titus has been a shining light and he will be taking on a leadership role in his final year. He is committed, as we all are, in bringing both the Altdorf Bowl, and the CBBA Cup back to their rightful place. Once again, congratulations Titus, we salute you!"
Titus Denano laid 71 blocks, dealt 8 casualties and was named MVP 4 times throughout the season. |

Coach Semitence on Notice?
With 3 seasons under his belt, Coach Semitence will be feeling the mounting pressure & expectations of the RSU faithful over the coming season. Two seasons without playoffs have left the Stingleaders without much to cheer & newer upstart programs are showing better results with less resources. Will his unique zoning strategy ever pay-off? Has the off-season improved the RSU receivers handling abilities? Can RSU opponents continue to turn on MVP performances when faced with the best of the best? Stay tuned, we will.

Exemplary Display, meet Exasperating Day
For the most part, it all went right in the season opener for RSU, with Titus Denano leading the way in the literal obliteration of the Guisonne Chevaliers. Working around the Chev's Squires, the Scorpions were clinical in removing all other opposition from play. Coach Le Bobs looked on in dismay and disgust as play after play went awry. This analyst believes that the reputation of the Scorps preceded them somewhat, and Chevaliers paid for their tentativeness in a very one-sided affair. Of course it wasn't all Guns & Roses for the Scorps, as Captain Gruubenheim threw a perfect pass in to score a second TD, which was duly dropped by the receiver. Some things never change.

Bears Bugle Round 2 Snapshot
Yhetees Vs Bears: Senior Vs Freshman, what can one expect?
Game calls into question Coach LictorZ credibility however. Rumour has it he has found employment elsewhere and is looking to sneak off quietly at seasons end.
Kudos to the Yhetees, they flexed their muscles and showed youthful exuberance can only take a team so far against wizened heads. |

Coach Tomay Concedes Griffins Underdogs in Altdorf Cup
On the eve of the Altdorf Cup, Coach Tomay has publicly admitted his team is deserved underdogs against the Scorpions. The Griffins roster has recently gone through some upheaval as Coach Tomay looks to the future by introducing some youth. The Griffins are lacking experience in key positions compared to a Scorpions outfit that seems to be hitting its straps. This could be a tough one for Griffins fans.

Panthers draw 1-1 vs Stallions
This was a very close game and either side could have won if it were not for some critical fails by there own team. We started off well and had numerical superiority, but a we positioned ourselves wrong and it went wrong from there.
We then managed to bring the game back to a tie and just held out on defense for the final few minutes.
It's a good thing we had the med students helping us that day too, poor Wigand almost punctured a lung with his broken ribs and will be missing the next game against the Confederates while he heals up. Two games in and only the Bulls are above in the tables having also tied against the Stallions, if thing go the way I think they will our match versus the bulls in the final game of the season will be a vital one. |

Erengrad University Public Statement on season troubles
Horror with Erengrad CBBA Yhetees fans as confused Stallions refuse to win games and come face Yhetees in finals as demanded by all good and right-thinking citizens of north, empire, and even less known places. Yhetees of course win games, beat Bears, lessons given, is usual, expected, comfortable. North teams not cheat like Imperials, always slippery balls. So much easier to beat when is fair.
Word from camp, Yhetees must abandon quest against cowardly and useless Stallions. If cannot play against, best vengeance for death of Olga Belyakov is simple. Win trophy, etch in name of Olga, the Yhetee. Such big woman, die so young, much sadness still. Proper respect would be war, but trade with Empire is very important to Erengrad city, and not many men of fighting age left after last north wind incident. So war can wait, but is also very sad. End of statement. |

The Athel Loren Eagles have not disappointed fans too badly. The new lineup, after facing the well seasoned and near-pro NCU Gunners and Guisonne Chevalier's, has emerged more experienced and ready for the challenges ahead. The game against the Altdorf Griffins, often considered "the team to beat", will be tough, but we have faith in the squad.

This release was unauthorised, and likely printed by members of a rival team, intended to stir up hostile feelings towards the Athel Loren Eagles. The team would like the public to be aware that there were no hostile feelings towards Guillaume, and his death was an unfortunate accident on the pitch. |

Media Ban at clippers lifted after first two rounds
The media ban imposed by the clippers new coach BMILNER has finally been lifted and stories are starting to surface in relation to the real reasons behind the axing of their former coach. While a long holiday as listed as the initial reason for his departure drug agency agents have been seen collecting evidence from the clippers headquarters. While it is to early to tell sources close to law enforcement are suggesting links to illegal performance enhancing substances derived from warpstone. |

The Northern Border Confederates have once again disappointed fans giving the Hochland Outlaws their first win under current management. Credit must be given to the Outlaw players who seemed to stick to their marked man with a tenacity that their coach had previously failed to unleash, preventing several attempts to sack the ball carrier.
Early signs of a Pallen and Bratsch pairing developing after a nice pass and run play were quickly dispelled after Bratsch dropped two easy catches from Pallen later in the game. Angryman has to be left wondering which direction his offence should be built on.
One positive from an inside source suggests that the teams strength and conditioning program is starting to see results with Axel Einwiener showing great development potential.
Fans are hopeful the Feds can pull out a surprise against the Panthers this week.

Panthers Lose 1-3 vs NBC
This was all Georg's fault he got knocked out early and missed nearly the whole bloody match except for the last minute. Everything we tried just wouldn't work at first as we were out number right from the get go and never recovered from it.
What gets my goat though is the NBC had so many underhanded tricks. The bribed the ref, brought explosive runes, chop blocked a player and had built a bloody pit trap in the field. We never had this trouble when we played in the imperial group. All was fair and above board. We need to get back up into the good books of this CBBA.
Then again this is my last season and unless I get scouted it looks like i'll be joining the trade business. |
