As an undead coach, I'm digging up that topic, not for a big CR loss (I've recently suffered a -3.04 but that was still not enough for a record) but for what I think is the smallest CR gain on a win :

I can't beat your smallest CR with this, my most fondly remembered match. But I wonder what's the smallest TV & CR difference you could have and still not get any extra CR for winning. |

Cherrypicker, yes. Minmaxing, I can't say that. I don't know the real meaning of "momotte", this is not an official french word.
All I can say is that, from 1999 to 2005, there was a site called FranceBloodBowl where we played BloodBowl on Ski Junkie's JavaBowl client. On this site, there was no division working like Black Box, only a big league which basically worked like Ranked division on FUMBBL.
Like in every league functionning like that (I mean, letting coaches / teams chosing their opponents) there were cherrypickers. They were called "momottes" by some witch hunters who linked their feats on FranceBloodBowl forum.
So that's funny for me to see a team refering to "momottes "being beaten by a coach with low ranking.  |
