Little Lord Lucan, the great Snotling Legend, has been killed!! An incredible loss to the Blood bowl world. The World of Wrestling team's fans are in particular dismay.
This happened in coach Gary's following match after the Mountain's death. Truly incredible these two old, great players go in successive games. AND Lucan had two killing hits in the same match!

Ogre games often go badly. The Wrestlers have experienced many that go badly from the start. Well we managed not to bonehead the first turn at least. Lucan advanced towards our centre and got into TTM attempt position. The Ogre picked up…and smashed him down to the floor beside him (even after reroll!). He appeared to be dead! But the apo got to work and fixed him up. (Some suspect Kendo did the drop deliberately after his recent increase in agility and desire to carry the ball himself). We had a dreadful rest of the half, with a lot of stupidity, and were comfortably stalled against. Second half we had the ball again. Lucan had the ball with some snotling cover. But just before getting to our centre he was blitzed by a dodging ag5 blitzer.. and would you believe with another killing blow! What a calamity.
Little Lord Lucan was a prodigious scorer and incredibly brave. Often launched over opposing lines to score, but also made some fine running TDs and ball recoveries. Even a casualty! Very rarely passed the ball to others. Whereas most ogre teams eschew skilled snotlings due to bloat (even before the disposable rule days) the Wrestlers enjoyed this hero's presence. For a significant time he was even part of a stat-up snotling quartet! But the other three way were smashed up just before he became officially legend. Lucan himself was badly hurt himself many times. Also suffered an increasing fragility sometime after becoming superstar, but kept coming back. Then had a further critical injury a few matches before his death.

Massive congrats to Superlynx as it means his legend Snotling will go down as the greatest! (Recently overtook Lucan by a couple of spps which is why we played this match). Chuck also added some perms to his injury list in those recent games, so it was a close thing! There is not even another snotling that has reached superstar status in the Box.
LLL is also the oldest ever Box Ogre team player.

I don't know what you've been up to, but you've upset someone for sure!
To be brutally honest everybody wants to see a str7 mummy get its comeupance, but this is a real head-shaker. It's appalling news and I offer my condolences to Little Lord Lucan's family. May he rest in peace. |
