Now for the Ottawa Bee-Bees rant and raving!
This season we shall start with a quick look; in 2020 we have *shifty eyes* 30 teams? Ok fine two of them aren't really part of 2020, but NCBB is still allowing them.
So we classify them into 6 categories:
The Pro
The Quick
The Cold and Dead
The Amateur
The Ugly
The Bad
Pro (9):
Wood Elves, Pro Elves, High Elves, Dark Elves, Slann
We have 4 in the non-AQ (2 Pro Elves, 1 Dark Elf, 1 Slann) and 5 in the BCS (2 Wood Elves, 1 High Elf, 1 Dark Elf, 1 Slann
Quick (8 ):
Underworld, Skaven, Human, Imperial, Simyin
We have 6 in the non-AQ (3 Skaven, 2 Human, 1 Imperial) and 2 in the BCS (1 Human, 1 Simyin)
Cold and Dead (10):
Vampire, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Undead, Khemri
We have 3 in the non-AQ (1 Necromantic, 2 Undead), and 7 in the BCS (3 Lizardmen, 1 Necromantic, 1 Undead, 2 Khemri)
Amateur (9):
Amazon, Norse, Dwarf, Orc, Black Orc
We have 4 in the non-AQ (1 Amazon, 2 Orcs, 1 Black Orc) and 5 in the BCS (1 Norse, 2 Dwarves, 2 Orcs)
Ugly (10):
Khorne, Chaos Pact, Chaos Dwarf, Chaos Chosen, Nurgle
We have 3 in the non-AQ (1 Khorne, 1 Chaos Dwarf, 1 Chaos Chosen) and 7 in the BCS (1 Khorne, 1 Chaos Pact, 2 Chaos Dwarf, 2 Chaos Chosen, 1 Nurgle)
Bad (1 - most of these are simply banned outright):
Old World Alliance, Snotling, Goblin, Ogre, Halfling

Ok, now lets look at the different pods for the out of conference games:
Pod 1:
Normandale, Navy, Miami
God, this is going to hurt for Miami. A returning Slann team matched against a physical Chaos team and.. Navy. Navy is the oldest team in the league, they are khemri, and they hurt things. (They also attract block tomb guardians like nobodies business.)
I see Normandale coming out on top for this one.
Pod 2:
Fayetteville, Mz State, Texas State.
Another mismatch; Mz State are arguably one of the heaviest bash teams in the league, Texas State is Chaos Pact, and Fayetteville are one of the best elf teams in the league.
Fayetteville and Mz State stomp Texas State, in completely different ways; and then it comes down to the dice for Fayetteville vs Mz State, but with the elves basically restarting, I think they're missing the pieces.
Mz State on top.
Pod 3:
IVCC, Pike, NOVA
This sees 3 teams in the rebuild phase - NOVA is completely rebuilding this season - so this looks like Pike has the advantage with their dark elves.

Pod 4:
Cantucky, St Francis, Karak
Ah, 3 heavy hitters - dwarves, chaos dwarves, and khemri.
Who can hit the most? Hard to say; St Francis has the strength, Karak has the durability, and Cantucky has the.. speed? Yup, the speed.
Expect a lot of draws in this pod.
Pod 5:
PSU, Texas Tech, UMGO
A lot of speed here; PSU will look to run circles around.. humans and lizards? not likely. UMGO has a lot of experience, but Texas Tech has been looking to make deep runs. Gotta give it to UAC though.

Pod 6:
Oregon, California, Florida
Jeepers, these guys ALWAYS play each other. And smash the hell out of each other. And make national runs.
But Oregon has been around since before time began, so we go with them.

Pod 7:
Toledo, USMA, U of Tee
Simyin look outmatched here, but omg the stats on that team. Still, USMA utterly dominated their non-AQ season, and U of Tee.. well they were supposed to be a replacement team that did so well that their coach discarded their actual team! Hard to say who wins these ones.
Draws galore.
Pod 8:
UMU, Washington, Poli
Another slugfest; UMU will probably regret the nerfs that 2020 brought to Old World Alliance; Washington will slaughter everything in their path, and get annihilated in return as all Norse do; and so we are left with Poli, the indestructable dwarves.
Poli will take this pod.
Pod 9:
Ottawa, UCON, Texas
The highest win rate Ottawa, the current national champions UCON, and an up and coming Orc team. As much as I don't want to, these are the teams that can stymie Ottawa, and UCON still has that godforsaken werewolf.
