The one thing I like about the new apo is that taking one isnt a no-brainer anymore. For high AV teams in Competitive I dont think I would ever pick one up (maybe if I played past 15 games).

I see your point and I understand that not taking the Apo on high AV teams can be a sound and valid strategy, but on the other hand the chance to keep a BH/KO player on the pitch is useful, a high AV team facing a high AV team could struggle if it lost a key player such as a Big Un or Bull Centaur during a drive, for example.

In general I strongly dislike the new apo though. Cas-luck is dominating BB a lot already, esp. at low TV, and this makes it even worse. In my very personal opinion, the apo should be a lot more reliable, and maybe even available multiple times, while damage skills get increased in effectiveness to keep the level of attrition unchanged. So the victim gets a little (more) control of where and when the hammer falls.

I don't like the new Apo either. Considering the BB2020 CAS table an old-school Apo working on 2+ would be better, or at least an Apo not wasted in case of failure, but used only when successfully healing a player.
The level of attrition in my opinion could stay the same, I would just change the Injury roll to get a CAS from 10+ to 11+. Even without MB 10+ is not that hard to roll, let alone when MB gets more common (no need to be at high TV).

For league play, some teams really suffer from it. I am playing wood elves in the german league and it is not good. It hurts to have wardancers go missing, which just happened to me again in the last game before Playoffs, just like last season.

I'd like this: when a positional player is MNG, you get a Rookie Loner Journeyman positional of the same type for the next game. Apo can't be used on him, like for normal Journeymen. And yes, Elves have been nerfed by BB2020: stat boosts require many SPPs, AG is capped at 1+, Leap is worse, MA is capped at 9, throwing is overall worse (yes, there are the specialist Throwers, but the nice aspect of playing Elves was that any player was a potential thrower when required). Now Elves tend to be outnumbered more often, but they can't make up for that with a desperation pass as easily as in the past.
