I can't tell yet; I'm not sure I fully understand the implications of all the new rules, and I'm quite sure I do'nt know all the new changes properly yet, and any detail I'm missing can mess with my understanding of the balance. It's suhc a heavy change list really. I do have hopes that the changes ovreall will be beneficial for the perpetual environment of fumbbl, particular with respect to random skills; though I do wonder if randoms are even worth much anymore. It does worry me that with the full 20k cost there's a lot less value to upgrading linemen, and it's kind of sad when there's a lack of worthwhile upgrades to take.
I'm leaning towar dthe big winners being those teams that got to keep lots of elite starting skills; as the starting tvs generally weren't adjusted much for it. |

While I don't think Dark Elves are the biggest winners by any stretch of the imagination, I gave them a spin yesterday and the Assassins are such an interesting piece now.
You can attack the heaviest LoS, it's a perfectly safe Blitz option, if your opponent pushes into your columns it's just free AV rolls.
I gave one Dodge and one Sidestep, and the Sidestepper was a right nuisance. Sure, you can Blitz my squishy positional. But if you get pushes I get a free stab on your favourite Blitzer.
Absolutely loved using them. |

I think I get the point, because of Hit and Run you normally (if things are not too messy around you) may disengage after your Stab... but normally the prime Blitzers are pretty good AV, so most of the time the stab will not cause any damage. But as you said, it is free and without any risk. Pretty nice combo.
I know there are 'oppinions' about the expert level of BHP, but I think nobody can deny the reach of the channel. Thus, I was wondering if we already agreed on a BB2025 top 5 team list here as well (after Ben published hin recently)?
His list is:
1. OWA
2. Amazon
3. Underworld
4. High Elf
5. Necromantic Horror
What I miss is Undead and Norse, which are both quite successful atm and did not get nerfed too much.
Would be intersting to read your oppinions here. |

3rd edition, where the Cas table was on the Injury table! DP, roll 10+: RIP! Niggles caused you to miss 1 game in 6, missing players added to Team Rating, and there were no Journeymen! |

And you could permanently roster Star Players and Wizard too, then. Players had 7 skill slots. |

Oh, yes. Cards you could spring on your opponent!
Elf coach: "Why did you stop one square short of the goal line?"
Dwarf coach: "I want to run the clock down so you can't score."
Elf: "But it's Turn 8!"
Dwarf: "Yes," <flashes 'Injury Time' card> "but I'm waiting for Turn 9." |
