Juggs is better than no juggs, but compare it to goats. What is the impact of 5TV to have across the board Juggs vs horns? The ST4 blitz every turn is so much more impactful than the possibility Juggs saves you a TO. It does make a frenzy saurus almost mandatory, and you are paying 10TV to save yourself the time and aggravation of building the frenzy/juggs with extra SPP. That actually may be worth 10TV to me. |
1) So it's a saved turnover instead of a RR. It's also 1/36 of a saved Cas, and another 1/24 of a saved KO (even the latter can be a game-wrecker for Lizards). 4/3 of those means it's 1/27 of a saved Cas per match, or a two-point reduction in the absolute percentage of a missing Saurus, burnt Apo, or 90k Treasury lost. That percentage isn't super high, two points is a lot more than 2% unless you're somehow averaging a missing Saurus every game, which is probably a skill issue.
Also, sometimes you totally reroll that turnover. Not usually, but if you gotta get the Rotspawn out of the way on a late turn, it's way better to burn your only RR than trying to dodge a Skink past it. Of course, if it's a SF Rotspawn, you might not... but this could be horrible. With Juggernaut, poof, you own that square now. And that can come from any direction.
2) Thought of that way, 10k for 5 Juggernaut you don't care about is good math. That's 5 guys who are 14 SPP and 60k TV away from being able to blitz Wrestlers or Standers-Firm and ignore that stuff with Block and MB, and that's a big deal in this edition where there's a crapton of starting Wrestle and Wrestle is 10k cheaper to pick up than Block. Once you have just one of those guys and one Frenzy guy, you've paid your 30k and your other 4 Sauruses just get it for free.
As a test for this, in BB2020, if you had a Fruggernaut Saurus already and you randomed Juggernaut onto a Block/MB Saurus, are you sad? If you would never have randomed there, like a sane person, but you were drunk, and you got Juggernaut, would you keep the player? Would you breathe a sigh of relief that it wasn't Pile Driver, Arm Bar, or Multiple Block? Or even Brawler, [2020] Break Tackle, or Thick Skull? I would. In fact, I'd think it situationally kind of equal to Grab, but not as good as Guard, so #3 of 10 skills.
So I think two Juggernaut for 30k is ... fine. And then four free ones on top of that is ... better than "... fine" by definition, even if not by a ton. |

A 1RR boxed set thanks GW!
Your design planning is unmatched...
Woulda preferred White Lions w/ claw only for 100k. |

The weird thing is White Lions being slower than Dragon Princes despite having lower AV, but the roster is fine. |

Ah, sorry, so I edited this page: https://fumbbl.com/help:BB25HighElfSetUp
now the AVs are right.
To be more lore-accurate, White Lions could have had Iron Hard Skin due to their White Lion furs and AV 8+, oh well... |

I like it. Clearly designers hate dwarves giving HE dedicated anti-dwarf blitzers with wrestle+claw.
10k for claw is good. Swapping block for wrestle is iffy, but not terrible.
10k for +1ma and steady footing is a bargain on your fastest player.
This team puts darkies to shame though. Hits harder. More resilient. Great thrower. Faster runner. |

I guess most cases will be a 'No Thrower, get a 7th Lino' + 2 RR starting roster.
But let is see what the Skill access will bring us. |

A great looking team. Do the blitzers have strength access on doubles? Interesting to have both block and wrestle players. |

Nightbird means u can't really do that bc there is only 6 lino in the GW box
Also I assume the skill access is as previously, GA for everyone, GAP on thrower, S access on secondary |

So much for the only need to buy 1 box bs... |

The only way to get 2 rr's w/ the boxed set is to use 2 phoenix warriors & skip a white lion or dragon prince. That's a really beginner friendly lineup. GW is so on it!
I wonder how long until we get linemen expansion packs...
Edit: I guess you can swap a lineman head on a phoenix warrior & either swap or cut off the ball arm depending on how they go together. |

My that does look like a fairly strong and solid roster. though two of your top blitzers being unwilling to give up the ball hurts some if you use them to get a loose ball. on the whole though it just seems strong and flexible, without enough of the deficits some of the other elven teams face. I loko forward to seeing stats on winrate so I can see if i'm estimating wrong. |

In the standard rules... with seasons and standard progression I'm not sure I see the need for a thrower... They're so expensive!!!
linemen can 3+, which is good enough for an emergency pass.. Obviously get a thrower in time. but for most of a teams season 1... not sure they're needed |
