More like 43500 times. |

I read there is TV matching in black box. But no where is this properly described, is this a thing? Anyone knows the exact algorithm applied? |

Omg huge can of worms. To avoid going there, algorithm exists, TV is the main factor, but there's rookie team protection against old teams, too. Roster and CR get zero consideration. Precise suitability formula I don't think is available, but if you check the forum history you can find all sorts of posts by Christer on the philosophy behind it and its evolution. |

I didn't even mean to join BB at this time in the morning but I managed to entertain it for 1 turn before realising at was a waste of my time to even try, so I conceded and paid a price of losing some decent players. Not my finest moment but it happened. |
There are no unwinnable matches. Carry on Morg and surround him to prevent assists. Get a master chef and see how vamps play with less rerolls. Get a wizard and prevent the 2turn offence that they like. Get a master chef and a wizard!
If I may, you should be considering why you didn't come up with a gameplan first, why you conceded without rolling dice second, and about fumbbl rules last.
I've done the same mistakes, of course. |

The system tries to maximize teams paired within the constraints of the TV brackets. Go to Christer's profile, check his blogs and you will find the post. Look for Stable Marriage Problem, Gale-Shapley algorithm. |

I thought there was some component to prevent the really bad racial match ups and mirrors but that might have been an older version. It's a shame CR isn't involved because facing someone with a high CR is an incredibly unfun experience |

It’s a necessary compromise to ensure that matches are scheduled every 15 minutes. If you start imposing too many restrictions, there’s a risk that the scheduler won’t match anyone up. Personally, I think that for low CR coaches, facing high CR is an experience that can help them better understand the game and improve.
If you want a relaxed, less competitive environment, you shouldn’t play in Box mode—you should play in the leagues instead (L145 is ideal). |

Bad racial matchups and CR mismatches are both things that should happen in the random draw of the Box imo. The box is for getting what you get in matches, and playing those matches where you are disadvantage is important in improving as a coach.
But yes, open C and leagues are where you can get consistently more balanced matches. Though in most season based leagues, you will have to face opponents that are better than you or have better teams than you. |

I'd rather just not get a match at that point. playing someone who has over 100 CR more than I do is literally never a fun experience. You make a mistake on like turn 2 or 3 and then you are stuck sitting there for 45 mins and you never touch the ball again. It's worse than a TV gap
Also there's no way I qualify for 145, I pretty consistently beat anyone who has a lower CR than I do unless he or she is one of those coaches that has like 8,000 games played and the CR isn't super reflective because he or she plays a lot of fun teams that tank CR/win rate |

You don't get better unless you play better opposition. You're also the opposition in that equation. Play up, play down, play even, play everyone. |
