Redrafting for the third season also begins at team creation. |
Huh? |
Well, when I make my team, I build a development strategy to go along with it as a priority. Like, I kinda know what I'm gonna be redrafting, how I'm gonna skill up to take maximum advantage of the cap, what kind of team I'll be bringing for the following season ... it's a bit vague sometimes, but you can think two seasons out and still have some realistic sense of what sorts of things you might be looking at. It's kinda like prepping deeper into a D&D session: you gotta flowchart a lot, and a lot of your ideas will end up on the cutting room floor, but you can still benefit from looking at what you might have available. But prepping three seasons out, nothing makes any sense. |

Actually that is the biggest 'Construction Site' for me. While playing on the pitch works okish, team building from a 'what you need at what tv level' or 'how should this team look like for a tourney / for a re-draft' are questions I still cannot answer that easily.
From a tv efficiency perspective it may even be better to not skill up a player, even if he has the SPP. Norse were a good example in the old edition. At low TV they were incredible TV efficient. Thus there was an approach to build a Valk freak for scoring, maybe a dedicated blitzer with tackle (and MB) andleave the average drunkard alone as long as possible. Not many teams could field a matching team at that low tv level... plus redraft was pretty easy: Only two players to pay agent fees for means you can keep them pretty long. |

I usually get rid of my big guys, and I get rid of any players with niggling injuries, negative attributes, or any skills i don't really need. Then I will get rid of rerolls if I have too. |
