I don't mean that we should adopt the bit I put up yesterday, necessarily, but as a conversation piece: If you play more than 10 games, it weakens your redraft options, but you could get more SPP. Is it worth it? New sub-game. Like, what would a 10-game team at 1400 look like as opposed to a 12-game team at 1360?
When we look at optimal season length and redraft, this question matters a lot.
Been thinking about it: what if we kept a flat redraft, but Box teams had a default rookie protection (can't play s2+ teams) for about 10 games? That would mean the last 5 or so are like "hard mode", you know?
So, really, this is how I'd do it, after some actual consideration.
S1: 15 games, redraft @ 1350k. (Could see 1300k.)
S2+: 10 games, redraft @ 1400k. (Or 50k more than S1, in any case.)
Matching goes by age in season: teams can be matched against any team in their own group or an adjacent one.
S1, 0 games
S1, 1-2 games
S1, 3-4 games
S1, 5-6 games
S1, 7-9 games
S1, 10-14 games
S2+, 6-9 games
S2+, 3-5 games
S2+, 0-2 games |
