What about something like this?
Every 3 months, you redraft the teams you've entered. When you do, your score is your net wins (W-L, or W+T/2, either way) plus 1 per 10k in player value or agent fee in the most expensive 3 players you didn't redraft. |

Assuming there would be a common understanding about the 'Season 2+ BBT and Steel Gauntlet'. What would be the next step? Discuss it with Christer? Some sort of Change request process? |

It doesn't particularly work as an idea in general, as teams in different redrafts look very different, and works even less with the Fumbbl specific 15 game redraft. The s2 teams would have the greatest advantage and any season 3+ teams would devolve into 'Legend, or two, plus rookies'.
Redraft is good as a concept to stop skill-less high TV dice rolling masquerading as Blood Bowl but 15/1350 is too long/high and only just about works here because it goes with BBT not having to redraft in the middle of a run.
Pro Bowl seems fine as a thing for the limited amount of people with s2+ teams to do? |

Yes, this is why my original idea featured a 10-game Season.
With or without BBT Season 2+, the Season should be shorter. |

Well, Season 3 is only like that if you want it to be. If you're protecting your crazy players into a 3rd season, you're gonna pay for it. But if you build huge, expensive players over two seasons, let them go after a major, and bring in a bunch of younger players instead, you won't have that problem to the same extent. A little, because the first redrafts might fill some key positional slots, but teams only degenerate after season 2 because their coaches get sentimental about their legends.
My ST5 Orcs have 3 games plus tournament left in their career. There's no point in keeping a player after that: I'm just gonna blow the team up completely, take them down to 1M or a little more, have a building season. This edition is so punitive on any effort to maintain a sense of identity... truth is, after the FC, I might quit the game. I really really really hate these rules. There's nothing to hold onto, and they shoehorn your development super hard so there's always a dominant strategy. Never thought I'd miss ClawPOMB (and I don't), but I really really miss LRB6 overall. |

I'm sure I'll either change my mind or come back. But I'm not retreating any further into the corners than just being on FUMBBL as opposed to playing something more popular. That's my line. I'd probably benefit from less screen time anyway. |
