Yes, plus the presence of Curling style tourneys would draw the masses!

I think it would make more sense to do what Acnhorhead originally had in the Orca Group. And that was continuous open play within the group. Wins against other Orca group teams earned you points within the Orca standings.

IMO there is enough competition and points achieving in FUMBBL. The word "Casual" in Casual Play Group means you don't have to win every game at all costs and then cry for a month how you lost a lino in the process. Blood Bowl is a game. We should play many games, play with and against a huge variety of teams and try to have fun. Smile

In other words: CPG would be more like the place for teams retired from Ranked in a bad condition...something to get them to their feet or a place to create TR 100 U teams who need some games under their belt, e.g. before joining OrcaCola or a place to find a casual match for your Unranked team

instead of

play with all that you got! bend the rules to your advantage! Join TR150 and below tournament with TR 149 Amazons (everyone has blodge)! Plan out everything you do months in advance and retire your team if you get a RIP in first match!

no...we wanna keep it casual, guys. Smile

Curling style? Is that somehow related to the exponentially growing amount of Macavitys on the site?

Curling tournaments have a round-robin segment. The top 4 teams (by wins) play. Team 1 and 2 play and team 3 and 4 play. The winner of 1-2 gets a by to the final and the loser plays the winner of the 3-4 game for the other final spot. This helps guarantee that the final game is between the two best teams.

Curling? That is the cool sport with stones in the house, guards and stolen ends, isn't it? But what has it to do with bloodbowl.

I'll check this tomorrow, I have no time now, but I may join this if I won't get forced to play games in a scheldue (sp).

We got a few coaches in already. If anyone has a tournament idea, we can arrange one.
