RFAdvantage Bowl Predictions!

McNurgle's BowlImage
#30 Navy (did not play) 0-0-0 (.000)#last
~ Typical Navy, 0 wins. Navy in the McNurgle's? Is anyone surprised? Who cares that they didn't play this year, they still belong in the McNurgle's.
vs.
#25 Oklahoma (Big Beast) 1-1-7 (.173)#1 SoS
~ No wins, 2 ties and the rest losses, yeah this is the epitome of a McNurgle's qualifying season!

There's never a winner in the McNurgle's.

Fireball Fire BowlImage
no teams qualified

Goober BowlImage
#13 LSU (AKC - nonAQ) 3-2-0 (.723)#4 non-AQ
~ Skaven and goobers, it just sounds about right. The Bangles put up a T-3rd +6 TD differential while being beaten into oblivion -13Cas differential (worst among bowl teams).
vs.
#14 ND Fumbling Lizards (AKC - nonAQ) 2-1-2 (.648)#5 non-AQ
~ With the last non-losing record, ND secures a bowl game, but that is about all they can claim to have gone well with the season.

A close match 1:1 until a late score by AZ in the final minutes or overtime for the 2:1 win.

Wonderbra BowlImage
#10 BU (Beast) 3-1-2 (.780)-1 OOC
~ Losing to Clemson and Oregon during out of conference play is to be expected, but shows that BU isn't quite yet a top bowl game type team. They played well in the Beast +1TD and were T-3rd for Cas differential among bowl teams (+9).
vs.
#12 Illinois (AKC - nonAQ) 3-3-0 (.763)#3 non-AQ
~ The dorfs refuse to lose, and have a solid defense only giving up 2TD over 6 games (+5TD diff) combined with a respectable +4Cas differential makes this team a sleeper to not be overlooked.

Illinois continues to make life hard for teams and pushes the game to 1:1 OT. Butler just can't physically take the extended game while the Dwarfs take most of OT to secure the 2:1 win.

Killer Lite BowlImage
#9 Cali (Beast) 3-1-1 (.803)+2 OOC
~ The Golden Lizards will be angry to see themselves this far down. And rightfully so. With a +4 TD differential (3rd in AQ bowl teams) and +2 OOC play, combined with only 1 loss on the season they should be a better respected team and will play to prove it. The -1 Cas differential shouldn't hurt them as much as it appeared to.
vs.
#11 Maryland (AKC - nonAQ) 4-0-3 (.768)#2 non-AQ
~ Maryland gets the bump into the Killer to avoid having an all Beast Bowl game. the Turtles boasted a respectable +3 TD and a -2 Cas differential similar to their bowl opponent.

Maryland is the non-AQ version of Cali with not nearly as good a record or stats. They are in for a long day of being pushed around and shown how to play lizard ball in the NCBBs. Cali wins 2:0.

Tossit-os Fiesta BowlImage
#7 Army (AKC -nonAQ) 4-4-0 (.848)#1 nonAQ
~ The Blackest are out to prove that a undefeated season should gain them more acclaim. However those 4 ties are enough to pull them well down in the rankings Their +8 TD differential was the best in all the NCBB and a +7 Cas differential shows they aren't just a one trick pony.
vs.
#8 Rolla (FBC) 3-2-3 (.838)-1
~ Rolla is the highest ranked team that had a losing record outside of their conference. They took advantage of their weak conference and some shady bookeeping at the RFA to sneak into the #8 spot. If you can figure it out, could you explain this one to us? They did carry a respectable +3 TD and a league leading +26 Cas differential.

Army gets the bowl win and picks up another great win for the non-AQ. 2:1 on a late Rolla score

DeadEx Orange BowlImage
#5 Karak (FBC) 4-2-3 (.850)+1 OOC
~ Karak's stout defense kept thm with a +2TD differential and a solid +6 Cas differential this season means they don't get pushed around. As a matter of fact they do the pushing, punching, biting, and stomping too. Count on them to bring the pain.
vs.
#6 TCU (Smack6) 4-3-1 (.848)+1
~ The Horned ones only loss on the season was to another playoff team. They scamper all over the pitch and get behind your defense before you even hear the starting whistle (+5TD Differential). Their weakness is the softness of their defense and attrition (-6CAS differential)

TCU played in the toughest division this season. The Smack 6 top three teams went a combined +6 in OOC play (Compare to +1FBC and +2 Beast) They only lost the one time and look ready to roll. Karak will hand TCU one of their worst physical beatings of the season, but will fall short of making this a close game on the scoreboard. TCU wins 3:1

Rose BowlImage
#3 Clemson (Smack6) 4-2-2 (.878)+3 OOC
~ The Terrors won all of their OOC games this season, and one of their two losses were to the #1 team in the nation. This team is built to play hard and bury their opponents. +9 Cas differential is 3rd among all bowl teams and definitely a team most want to avoid.
vs.
#4 UCon (Beast) 4-0-1 (.855)+1 OOC ~ The Huskies are back in a bowl game and looking for blood. They are very similar in playstyle to Clemson. Both teams had +2TD differential and the dogs were 2nd in Cas differential for bowl teams (+12). This will be a bloody match no doubt.

Blood and gore will be all that is left on the pitch. Little else will remain beyond the 2:1 final winning score for the Terrors.

BCS Title GameImage
#1 SD (Smack6) 6-1-1 (.990)+2 OOC
~ The Smacktecs have shown their strength, and have a winning record in and out of conference play. With a top end attack +6TD differential (T-3nd among playoff teams) and defense +8Cas on the season this is a team that just plays well and locked up the #1 overall with a T-2nd best +2 wins in OOC play.
vs.
#2 Oregon (FBK) 6-1-2 (.950)+1 OOC
~ The Ducks are back in familiar territory and are going to compete for another national title. +7TD differential (best among AQ teams) is offset by -7Cas differential (2nd worst among AQ teams in the bowl games. This is familiar territory for the celebrated ducks

Ducks go up 1:0 in the first half, but attrition takes its toll in the 2nd and the Smacktecks will easily push the game to a 1:1 OT. A rare mistake in the backfield will be all the opening Oregon will need to swarm in and elf out the defensive OT score.

So the Smack6 has a chance of bringing home the top 3 bowl games this season?

A bit late this season, but...

the All-American Team Selection is finally done and can be found here.

This year the All-American Team is dominated by two teams, that together contribute almost 40% of the players selected.
Clemson lives up to its reputation once again sending four players out of its ranks to the show (among them last year's All-Americans C. J. Spiker and Tyrone Crusher as well as Season XXI All-American Banks McFasty. The later transitioned in the meanwhile from an offensive Wide Receiver to a defensive line pass rusher).
Even more players come from the program out of Rolla: astonishing 5 Gold Diggers join the All-American Team, one for the offense (running back Ray Cullin'), three for defense (linebacker Haxon Man as well as defensive line specialists My Schism and true freshman Britten Laughin), plus one special teamer (dirty player Kill 'em Young).

Karak and Oregon follow up with three players each.

TCU and last year's hot shots from Slam Diego both show signs of fatigue with only one selected player, although we have to admit those two are outstanding: TCU's Kolby Listenbee has earned more SPP (29) this season than any other college player and SDSU's Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila is the leading casualty dealer (11). Both players are already under permanent oberservation by several NBFL talent scouts.

Several "newcomer" programs join this year's show for the very first time: Rutger's, Ogrehome-A, U.Con and Notre Maim all contribute with one player while U-Dub gets even two players selected to the team.

That's a lot chatter about counting nominations. With the fourth year of All-Americans being selected, I decided to count total nominations per program to see which are the top adresses in NCBB.

Code:
All-American players per program
15   Clemson Terrors
11   Rolla Gold Digger
7    Karak University
7    TCU Horned Rats
7    Old Dominion Monarchs
6    Tennessee Volunteered
5    Oregon Waterfoul
5    Slam Diego State Smacktecs
5    Florida Rotting Gators
3    Missouri Two-Hand-Touch Tigers
3    ITBA Tinkerers
2    U-Dub Elfskies
2    Buffalo BulICentaurs
2    Univercity of Hawaii
2    Alabama Green Tide
2    Arkansas Laserbacks
1    Rutgers Hauers
1    Ogrehome-A Boomers
1    U.Con. Huskies
1    Notre Maim Fighting Irish
1    Nippon U Triumphant Lions
1    Arizona Girls Gone Wildcats
1    CDI Slannunity College
1    Western Illinois Leatherbarks

Congrats to Clemson for being an outstanding program over several seasons now. That's continuity, that's quality. If only your players would last a bit longer in the rough envorinment of NBFL.

He should have been a mummy....he would last a lot longer. Also I am shocked that Oregon has not had more AA players myself.

The Oregon coach has this crazy philosophy “There's no I in team“.

Funny you say that.
Purdue just faced Gardner-Webb's Pact team, and boy that first half was ugly enough to put the game out of reach.

But the second half saw 2 Marauders, and an Ogre get slaughtered by a pair of pissed off Slayers.

#1 Army .985 (5-2-0) had good wins vs. Florida and ITBA with the only mar on their schedule a tie vs. Karak
+7 TD, 0 Cas differential

#2 Rutgers .965 (4-2-1) will be a good foil for Army . This team is balanced, had a big win vs. Oregon and the only mar on their schedule was a tie vs. Illinois.
+5 TD, +9 Cas differential

#3 Clemson .963 (6-1-1) will be rolling over in their graves over being placed behind Rutgers but their only win vs a team with a winning record was UDub and they had an embarrassing 1-3 loss to TCU.
+5 TD, +12 Cas differential

#4 Oregon .945 (5-3-1) is a challenge for any team and will make a nice pairing for Clemson in the bowl games. Only victory vs. a winning team came against Florida with mars on their record ties vs. Cali (neutral record) and Karak (losing record)
+5 TD, +1 Cas differential

#5 Rolla .894 (3-1-3) has nice wins vs Florida and ITBA and their only losses came to Army, Clemson, and Oregon #1,#3, #4 respectively. A tough schedule and they beat the teams they needed to to get a shot at a good bowl.
+2 TD, +7 Cas differential

#6 Bowling Green .875 (5-1-1) had a great record but beat NOONE with a winning record. They may as well have been playing high school teams. And the only team they played with a winning record ITBA they tied. Their loss was to Fighting Illinois another team with a losing record!
+7 TD, -10 Cas differential

#7 U-Dub .835 (2-4-1) had a winning record, but barely. They had a great win vs #2 Rutgers which shows they can play in a game with some consequence.
+3 TD, -6 Cas

#8 TCU .795 (4-1-4) qualifies with a non-losing record. They beat #3 Clemson for a great boost, but lost to UCon 1-3 which pulled them back down in the standings. They are voted the team most likely to be playing with all freshmen in the bowl games with a massive -20 casualty differential.
+3 TD, -20 Cas differential

#9 LSU .725 (4-3-2) was a non-aq team that qualified by being the only team worth mentioning out of the non-aq this season. They had nice wins vs Utah and ITBA but lost to Gardner. Heck even would have a hard time losing to that Gardner team!
+3 TC, -8 Cas differential

#10 Florida .715 (4-0-3) was another team that had no wins vs winning records. They beat up on losers and lost to Rolla (losing record) while compiling just one more win than losses.
+4 TD, +7 Cas differential

#11 ITBA .705 (4-2-3) was another team able to scrape together a winning season without beating a team with a winning record. Their loss to LSU gave the non-aq team some relevancy but really hurt their chances at a good bowl game.
-2 TD, +1 Cas differential

#12 Cali .700 (3-2-3) When your big win is vs UCon, you know you have nothing to brag about. They do have the advantage of having their only mar on their record as a tie vs BU.
-1 TD, +6 Cas differential
