The sign-up for Regional Open Championships is now open.
There will not be a second tournament running simultaneously.
You are allowed to join the tournament with both of your GL teams, although only one of them may receive a div winner's spot in Hulabaloo Island Cup - if both teams would get a ticket, you choose which team enters the tournament. |

Because of Rockbowl Playoffs progressing somewhat slower than expected, it is now almost Christmas. I have decided to postpone the launch of the Regional open Championships until the New Year has passed by.

Tournament is a GO!
1) Important info concerning Regional Open
- R1 pairings lottery is now over

- Round 1 result upload is allowed
- Round 2 result upload is forbidden until I give permission with site PM
2) Round 1 Redline/deadline info
Round 1 redline: midnight (GMT +1 hour) between Monday, 14th January and Tuesday, 15th January
Round 1 deadline: midnight (GMT +1 hour) between Monday, 21st January and Tuesday, 22nd January
Redline coord: Karhumeis (=me)
3) Background info concerning the lottery
There were not enough applicants to make divisions with only 1-2 races each (as I had planned). Therefore - and for the sake of balance between races - the following racial similarity chart from GL season 1 was used in the lottery to divide the applicant teams into divisions based on their races:
(continued from the end)->Goblin--Halfling--Wood Elf--Elf--High Elf--Skaven--Dark Elf--Amazon--Human--Norse--Nurgle--Dwarf--Chaos Dwarf--Chaos--Orc--Necromantic--Khemri--Undead--Ogre--Lizardmen--Vampire-> (begins all over again)
I tried to name these divisions according to the WH Universe regions. This was possible for the most part, although there are a couple of oddities (like Amazons in Norsca & Naggaroth div).
I also had to randomly assign (by Maibd die roll) one Undead team out of Lustria & Southlands div over to World\'s Edge div so that each div will have 5 teams.
For the most parts, the divisions are even in terms of TR/TS/TV. However, there are a couple of \"brutalities\":
TR 100 rookie Dwarf team & TR ~150 Chaos in otherwise TR ~200 World\'s Edge

Regional Open Championships tournament has 4 empty slots (1 in each division).
The first 4 GL teams to apply to the tournament page will get the spots:

If the Filler teams have not been replaced by R1 redline, the fillers will forfeit their R1 game in favor of the opponent. If a Filler slot is not filled before Round 2 redline, it will forfeit both R2 and R3 game in favor of the opponent. |

Lustria & Southlands division, round 1:
Cassie and her friends 2 - 1 We Come One
Lost frenzy mummy, who would have got a skill after a game, and blodge sure hands ghoul. One skink lost his leg.
All in all, a good game, where i sucked

Emperor's Royal Escort 2 - 0 Ex-Cheerleaders
The game was quite onesided. Humans got pows nicely and as their guard loaded team kept bashing the zons during the whole game making 0/4/1 cas.
Zons didn't quit and had chances to score, but my amazing skillz and tactics prevented it ; ) |
