Or make two version. A non .com for the website and a .com for the mugs / t-shirts. Or no cause I see that point as well. Smile

to be honest I doubt there'd be much use for the .com in the image, since it (as I understand it) is for the website. However, I agree with Peikko that that's up to whoever chooses the eventual winner to decide...

I wonder what you (Peikko) mean by that "copyright against the law" sentence though...? So far I haven't seen any material that looks copyrighted, but I don't know.. when it comes to voting everyone should know if something is copyrighted or not eh?

There is one entry that uses GW copyrighted miniatures, GW copyrighted BloodBowl playing board... Actually its just combined copyrighted pics with very little modifications. Also people should know that "spiked ball" is GW copyright too.

I could be wrong, but those don't look like pictures that GW took of minis they painted to me.

They own a copyright on the models which prevents you from copying and selling the models, but you own the models you purchase and they do not have any copyright over pictures you take of your own models.

the .comĀ“s to be or not to be shouldnt be much of an issue since i am the only one using it, and mine logo are not one of the best.

Ok, so with this logic I can go and take my Bloodbowl box, take a pic of Bloodbowl logo and use that pic as part of my own copyrighted thing. Naaaaah.

No, for a couple of reasons. First, that logo is also covered by a trademark, so different laws apply. Second, it is in that case just another image of the same work, while the other is a an image of a new artistic work, that of the paint job on the model. The exact details of the codes differ from country to country, but that is why these are two different things.

Ok, I'm coming into this late but here's an entry. Is this too complex? It actually is vector art believe it or not. I'm not happy with the lettering but maybe this is an idea that can be improved upon by someone else--happy to share the .psd file w/ anyone who wants it--or a .fla if that works better for you.

Could be part of a nice site subtitle--"Forget about the ball--hold on to your head."

The logo competition will stop accepting entries really soon now. If you are working on something or intend to submit an entry, please let me know how much more time you will need.
