I used to be against Rookie SMACKs. This was because back in the day, rookie games counted for CR. Thus, Rookie SMACKs were the easiest path towards raising one's CR. The Christer changed CR so it couldn't happen.

Then coaches were allowed 30 teams. Next coaches could instantly make a team and not have to wait to be approved......

Now I return to my original position of hating Rookie SMACKs. The simplest reason why we should ban these blights to the tourney scene is that it takes away from the RRR. Being able to instantly make a team and participate in a SMACK cheapens the whole SMACK scene in general. Coaches don't have as much invested and therefore don't care. As a result, concessions are more likely.

Meanwhile, RRR goes unnoticed. This is something that should be addressed.

Because they are just frontloaded for the SMACK with no intention of continuation after the SMACK is done?

I Like the rookie smacks, my undeads won one and still kept 9 FF Very Happy and I am still playing them, I feel they are a great way to get into the tough world of [R] Smacks without losing a team that you have invested alot into

I voted to keep them, im sure a lot of people enjoy them. That is reason enough to keep them around.

Ditch Rookie smack. I hate teams created for a single tourney only, and even though it happens in RRR, it is very much a principal rule for Rookie smack. Bury the bastard.

well rookie smacks can be easily won by Undead with Count...RRRs are a bit harder to win with that Combo as they have 16 Teams not 8. So yes remove Rookie smacks;-)

If you don't like them don't play.

Don't take away other people's fun because you prefer to do something else.

Nothing wrong with rookie smacks.

When you don't want people conceding in smacks make rules about that instead of getting rid of smacks.

Agreed teams just made for the purpose of a smack is not good.

What is wrong with that?
If people have a good time making a team and playing a fast minor tourney... I don't see why we should take that fun away from people. Everyone knows it isn't hard to win 3 games in a row with rookie undead + count. But smacks aren't that hard to win anyway, come on it is only 3 games in a row.

am i getting this right?

...you argue rookie smacks are very popular and should be banned so that people start playing less popular tournaments, that you personally like more?

...nice try dude, but no thanks to the ban...

Just change it to a max of TR 110, and it willö help things a lot.

Rookie smacks is a good way to get some games with your dorfs or Khemri
