Hi Again!
Here an update on how the rankings are progressing. As i explained in a previous thread, this rankings try to mimic ATP Tennis World Tour Rankings.
Please note that i have changed the point allocation system. Please find an explanation on how points are allocated right below the rankings.

2013 TOP 25 COACHES. List updated as to 14th Nov 2013. This includes Fumble Cup up to 4th Round. Ranking based on results in any OFFICIAL FUMBBLE TOURNAMENT during 2013 (box, Ranked or Stunty).

POINT ALLOCATION SYSTEM
1. I took same point sequence as the ATP uses for its MAJOR Tournaments. This is: 10-45-90-180-360-720-1200-2000
2. I match this sequence to number of wins that any coach had in any given official FUMBBL Tournament throughout 2013. As i only keep track of teams winning at least 2 games in a given tournament, this works out like this: 2w-10 points//3w-45 points//4w-90 points//5w-180 points//6w-360 points//7w-720 points//8w-1200 points//9w-2000 points
3. I allocate a fix 10 point bonus to any team that gets 2 wins or more in a Major tournament (Stunty Majors included)
4. I allocate a fix bonus to teams winning a title. It goes like that: 2 Rnd title=5 pts//3 Rnd title=9 pts// 4 Rnd title=18 pts//5 Rnd title=36 pts//6 Rnd title=36 pts//7 Rnd title=36 pts//8 Rnd title=36 pts// 9 Rnd title=30 pts.

Hi,
it would if the winner plays and wins 9 games. However, i think it is not the case as the maximum the teams remaining can get it is 8 wins.
so, 1200+10+36= 1246 points.
Bear in mind that Bye, fillers or forfaits are not counted. |

Hi,
These bonus points have no major impact on the final result, but helps to differenciate those coaches winning titles from those not winning any. The sequence go like that:
2rnd title= 50% bonus
3,4,5 rnd title= 20% bonus
As distance between values in the sequence get to some sort of point of not return i give lower bonus starting 6 rnd titles to avoid making differences too big and in doing so giving too much award to teams getting to the final rounds.
6 rnd title=10 % bonus
7 rnd title= 5 % bonus
8 rnd title= 3% bonus
9 Rnd title= 1,5 % bonus.
But again, these bonus have a low impact on final result. It help to differenciate coaches that win titles from the others.

one last remark, and it will help to explain the system.
it is not the same as:
5w title=180+36= 216 points
6w title=360+36= 396 points
7w title=720+36= 756 points
8w title= 1200+36= 1236 points
9w title= 2000+30= 2030 points

Hi,
i will stick to Official tournaments for a while. The workload it is quite big already.
Moreover, Those groups you mentioned are organised as leagues and the point allocation does not fit for these formats.
