Me and faulc playing 2100 bbtime on saturday. That's 8pm (saturday) for uk and 7am (sunday) for australia!

Pine Valley Cosmonauts vs Black Swans
Two elven teams go at it in this one. I have a lot of respect for any coach that can make Wood Elves work in a league environment. To actually win a 9 round premier season is something else. Irgy is an experienced tournament player and his style is suited to one-off games. The game will come down to whether or not the Black Swans can contain the WIL legend, Gary Gilmore-Eyes. I believe that they have the speed to do it, so I’m predicting Irgy to take this one out.

Fighting Greenskins Vs Large Head-on Colliders
The Greenskins only have 11 on their roster, while LHC has a fair bit of clawpomb. Still, the Greenskins have 7 players over strength 4, so the game will likely come down to how well gibby can position himself to nullify LHC’s blocking. I think LHC will overcome the Greenskins in the 2nd half and take home the victory.

Public Service Announcement vs Pleasure and Pain
Public Service Announcement hit the SWL by storm this year with 2 Premier titles not long after Daudy debuted in the league. He has created an exceptionally balanced and effective chaos roster backed up by strong coaching. Pleasure and Pain is a similarly built team that centres around 3 star players. I think it will be a case of who’s stars can take out the others. Public Service Announcement’s supporting cast is stronger in my view and Daudy is a fine coach so I can see them taking this one out.

Surfing the White Isle vs Slumbering Skink
Surfing the White Isle has probably been the most consistent team in WIL since coming into the scene. PeteW is undoubtedly one of the best coaches on FUMBBL and he has created a monster with the norse line-up. Slumbering Skink are one of the oldest and amongst the greatest teams on FUMBBL. Their coach, Faulcon, is widely considered the best coach of lizardmen going around, but has never achieved site-wide acclaim due to limiting himself to the Australian league scene. In my mind this is the best matchup of the tournament. The Skinks have traditionally had a hard time vs Norse teams but I reckon PeteW’s hot streak is coming to an end.

Wonga Wonga Whalekillers vs Rebel Pride
KFoged’s High Elves have an exceptional record and a strong roster. I think they are the strongest team on paper within the URN. Balle2000 will play his typical ballsy style with the Whalekillers. It will either come off or it won’t. I reckon it will, despite the lack of tackle.

Well Koadah, I think you've nailed it on the head there.

My experience tells me, it's the real thing everytime.
And looking at the teams, this is exactly what you have. With SWL you have real character. Lizards so old, they're 'pre' the endangered species list, and a Norse team that exudes chic. With WIL you have cheap Box knock offs in the form of 1 turning woodies and POMBing chaos.
It's clear from this that, 'SWL, is the housewives choice!' |

Did you know: Slumbering Skink have been active on fumbbl longer than 8 of the other 9 coaches - that's coaches, not teams - involved in this tournament (Barre joined the site 2 months before they played their first game). |

I don't know.....I'm getting the feeling SWLers have the WAGs and WIL have the hags, but that might be just me. |

The awkward moment when the two chaos teams have only one clawpomb between them...
I'm a bit bloatier than usual with no specialist can opener and in horrible form. Sounds a bit like Australia in the series before this one!
I think a little tidbit that hasn't really been mentioned is that all these games are with the respective real deal teams - so every broken bone and every star player point will be carried into the next season in their respective leagues! High stakes here! |
