Surfing the White Isle has probably been the most consistent team in WIL since coming into the scene. PeteW is undoubtedly one of the best coaches on FUMBBL and he has created a monster with the norse line-up. Slumbering Skink are one of the oldest and amongst the greatest teams on FUMBBL. Their coach, Faulcon, is widely considered the best coach of lizardmen going around, but has never achieved site-wide acclaim due to limiting himself to the Australian league scene. In my mind this is the best matchup of the tournament. The Skinks have traditionally had a hard time vs Norse teams but I reckon PeteW’s hot streak is coming to an end.

You're 11 hours behind, so reasonably late Sunday for you. I was just in London and near Southampton for about 2/3s of December and in CET timezones the month or so beforehand so I've scouted out enemy timezones!

Well the skinks tried, but when you have 3 players with 1 turn each on the pitch, another 2 with 2, and 1 player surviving a whole 3 turns it kind of tells the story of the game. Llsch and Strdthm were the only players to make the full 16 turns and to achieve that they spent the last 5 playing dead. |

hmm? Just saying there wasn't much I could do after nuffle did what nuffle does. Like PeteW said in game, this one was decided by the coin toss. He hit me first and it was pretty much done. I think it was 11 blocks for 5 cas and 2 KOs when I stopped counting.
If there was anything that surprised me it was only having one RIP that was successfully apothed.
(Though if I'd won the toss I have complete faith in nuffle not giving me any pows at all or at best KOs that all return second half to smack my lizards around, but that's my usual pessimism speaking as anyone from swl would confirm). |
